[Chapter—2]
I was brought to consciousness a couple moments before I had blacked out and opening my eyes I found myself inside a lab of sorts.
' The fuck?' I thought with a groan as I stood and looked around myself.
I was in a lab that I knew and looking outside the windows I saw that a dozen or so people lay around everywhere strewn around unconscious.
' Well fuck...right into the fire huh?' I thought with a sigh before looking around myself.
I was about to look for a Weopon but then suddenly.
[Ding! The Experience System Gear has detected a trove of knowledge, experience and memories being blocked by an anomaly!
—Purging anomaly!]
And just like that I found myself on the floor again screaming at the top of my lungs as scientific knowledge, memories of a life I never lived and experience was dumped onto my head without filter.

" God fuck!!" I shouted with a groan before shakily standing up feeling the gigabytes worth of knowledge and memories having been downloaded or more so unlocked in my head.
' Well...I guess I know why the system gear was an failed experiment.' I thought sighing to myself as I stared at the ring that was the personification of my the experience system gear.
Sighing to myself I looked around my lab finding that I now knew how to use everything within my lab and with the new knowledge I immediately stood up.
' I should create the cure for the infection while I have a chance.' I thought with a sudden epiphany as since I was the chief scientist I knew almost everything about the T-Virus and I was one of the people that experimented with it.
But first I stopped and thought to activate one of my gears features, status view.

' Huh I have traits?.' I think with a curious gaze before clicking on each one of them.

' Oh...so I'm guessing the improved immunity is due to me having survived or better yet this body having survived the T-Virus and fending it off and Better Mindset having been a trait that this body had been born with as I know I wasn't this perceptive or scientifically adept and smart.' I rationalised before closing the screens and opening the next function being the inventory.
The inventory as I had thought had nothing to offer but I would sure as hell use it to steal a lot of shit in this facility.
Next was the Skill Experience Function.

This was the experience system and it would allow me to gain exp through acts that are seen as monumental or an achievement and give me EXP amounting said achievement.
This would allow me to use the exp gained to increase my skills proficiency and gain instant comprehension of said skill with each level up without any gaps in knowledge and already I understood the 'No Gaps' as I now knew some things that would have made experimenting with the virus easier and more worthwhile.
' Okay then...time to begin my plan.' I thought as I stood and walked towards the chemical storage and grabbed a couple dozen chemicals before mixing a few using the presented tools available.
Putting them in the chemical mixer I then set them to mix before walking towards the Bio-Storage containing viral strands such as the T-Virus and other viruses which we had tried to splice with the virus with no avail.
I grabbed the T-Virus and grabbed two more other things such as a new strain of bacteria that killed it's infected by absorbing and eating the bodies nutrients and fats slowly killing them and another bio product created by umbrella being a mutative virus that attacked the host it had slowly mutating their cells into abominations of themselves thus killing their host.
I extracted small samples of each before putting them up for observation using a microscope as I studied each one of them before taking the completely mixed chemicals and administering small amounts to each of the bio-weopons.
I saw that Bacteria-H was slightly changed as the bacteria when I administered some human blood on the slide didn't absorb the nutrients but slowly wiggled itself into the blood cells and started fusing with it, this then changed the blood cells as they began absorbing the nutrients in the bloodstreams more efficiently and even absorbed unharmful pathogens that helped our bodies and when I administered a virus it was immediately absorbed causing the cells to evolve and mutate to better combat the virus this went on and on until I administered the T-Virus and found that the virus was stronger as it wrecked the cells and mutated it.
But I had already collected enough data for what I needed as I then looked at the other Virus besides the T-Virus which was the DNA mutative virus. I looked at the results of what happened as I adminstrated the chemicals which would allow the virus to be more game and sustainable to change.
I saw that instead of outright mutating the cells and DNA structure of a an bio-creature it instead mutated the DNA strands and cells to greater heights increasing their physical capabilities as seen by how robust the cells I had administered became.
The T-Virus on the other hand was a tough one as yes now it wasn't as chaotic but it was slowly fighting the changes and even evolving and regenerating from the harm caused on it.
Sighing I then began my studies as I tried incorporating the 3 Bio-Weopons together into something beneficial and this went on for hours as I took out more viruses and bacteria to study in hopes of cracking the T-Virus.
I didn't stop even when the dead bodies on the floor outside my physically locked lab started rising or when they started walking around and groaned.
I didn't stop until 5 hours later when I felt my body failing on me as I sat on the ground and drifted to unconsciousness after setting the serum I created from the T-Virus and other Bio-Weopons to mix after having found an equilibrium where each Bio-Weopons fed off each other and survived and thrived in harmony or enough that it's infected wouldn't turn to a zombie.
—2 Hours Later.—
Waking up from the sound of the reinforced glass being banged on I looked outside seeing as more zombies had started coming into this side of the facility.
Groaning I stood and walked towards the serum I had created and looking over a small amount in the microscope I sighed seeing the close to unrecognisable Virus in my possession.
What started as me wanting to creating a better cure had now spiralled into me creating a whole new virus all together.
" Well then.... moment of truth." I muttered as I put the serum into a syringe before hooking myself into an IV drip for the needed nutrients that would be needed for what I was doing.
" This is slightly reckless of me but then again how am I gonna survive this place if I don't do this?" I thought with a sigh before Injecting the serum into my bloodstream.
And so I waited after strapping myself in the constraints in the experiment bed inside the lab.
I must've waited for a couple minutes before I felt my bodies temperature start rising up.
And not long after my body felt as if it was on fire as I saw steam rising off my body as sweat cascaded my frame in gallons.
Next was me screaming in pain before I blacked out.
