Chapter 26: I FEEL LIKE DYING

Hope didn't say anything. She just stared at her flat belly. Strangely, the thought of Lucien's baby grew inside her, warmed her heart. 

"Hope, are you listening to me?" Daniel asked, he looked at his sister, until she looked at him in the eyes as well. "You don't need to be with him, if he only makes you feel sad."

Hope bit her lip, she tried to find the right words to say. "I am not sad because of the prophecy."

"And then what?" Daniel's eyes widened when he realized something. "Don't tell me that you like him now?" Daniel didn't need to hear the answer, because the way Hope averted her gaze told him what he needed to know. "Damn it!"

"I am not sure with what I feel…" Hope tried to defense herself, but she was telling him the truth. "I am sad because I want to see him, but I am not sure if I like him or not… he is mean to me."

Once again, Daniel sighed deeply. "The stupid mate bond," he growled.
