A year had passed since Blanc had solidified her place in Kevin's domain, setting up a permanent gate that allowed her lineage to traverse the realms. Kevin, ever strategic, had no issue with this. In fact, it served his purposes—Blanc had ordered her entire demon legion to obey Kevin's command without question, should he ever summon them. It was a testament to how much things had changed between them.
In the meantime, Kevin had developed a revolutionary technique—a barrier that could alter the flow of time, allowing him to accelerate or slow down the passage of years within. It was all in preparation for an event far in the future—the Cannon, which wouldn't arrive for another two millennia. But Kevin had no intention of waiting around that long.
As Kevin adjusted Bianca's high ponytail, the sound of a dimensional gate materializing echoed through his chamber. A green-haired demon appeared, one of Guy Crimson's subordinates.
"Lord Kevin," the demoness bowed "Lady Milim has requested your presence at the Walpurgis."
Kevin's eyebrow rose slightly, and he finished tying Bianca's hair with a swift motion. He smiled at Bianca, who stood by his side as his chosen bodyguard, and nodded at the demon..
At the Walpurgis Meeting
The room was vast, almost incomprehensibly large, existing in a separate space beyond any ordinary realm.
The massive round table at the center was surrounded by chairs—most still empty, except for Guy Crimson, who was seated casually, a glass of wine in his hand. Kevin strode in with Bianca by his side, her keen eyes scanning the room.
"Yo, Guy." Kevin waved, approaching him without hesitation. "Any idea why Milim called for Walpurgis?"
Guy shrugged,"Dunno. That idiot's always full of surprises. She didn't tell me anything this time."
Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of a high-pitched voice yelling in the distance. Kevin turned just in time to see a small, golden-haired fairy darting through a portal, followed closely by her loyal subordinates. Ramiris, the spirit queen, made her usual grand entrance—only to spot Kevin and immediately zoom toward him, fury etched across her tiny face.
"You! You punk!" Ramiris yelled, her small voice filled with indignation. "You took six of my spirits and didn't return them!"
Kevin effortlessly caught the fairy between his fingers, smirking at her attempts to kick him.
"Unhand me, you brute!" Ramiris shrieked, kicking her legs uselessly in the air. Kevin just made a funny face, teasing her by painting her cheeks red with a flicker of magic
"Guy! Do something about him!" Ramiris whined, twisting in Kevin's grip.
Guy laughed loudly, leaning back in his chair. "I think you're fine where you are, Ramiris."
"Relax, Ramiris. I'll send them back after this meeting," he said, feigning a bored tone.
Before their banter could continue, another gate materialized in the room. This time, it was Milim, her blue eyes gleaming as she entered with a small dragon perched on her shoulder, Gaia.
She sat down and immediately began devouring the cake in front of her, waving nonchalantly at everyone.
But Kevin's attention was drawn to the massive figure behind her. A two-meter-tall giant with blue hair, radiating an aura of holiness that felt out of place among demons.
"This," Milim said between bites of cake, "is Dagruel, the giant king. I found his city in the barren lands and… well, he attacked me. Obviously, I won."
Dagruel stepped forward, his voice deep and resonant. "Nice to meet ya," the giant said with a casual wave. "I'm Dagruel."
Kevin eyed him with curiosity. The presence of Dagruel meant the second-generation demon lords weren't far behind. Luminas, the vampire queen, would certainly appear soon, and Kevin was particularly interested in her. After all, she would one day possess the Lustful King Asmodeus, an ability that could reveal the laws governing reincarnation—something Kevin had a keen interest in.
Before any formal discussion could begin, the tension in the room escalated as Guy stood, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Dagruel, let's see what you're made of," Guy said, a wicked smile on his face.
They both went to another room and the two clashed, their raw power shaking the very fabric of the space.
The shockwaves destroyed much of the furniture and sent tremors through the area. Kevin sighed, moving closer to Ramiris and Milim.
Ramiris clung to Milim, trembling as the two titans fought, while Milim continued eating, seemingly unbothered by the destruction.
As the hours passed, the two fighters finally emerged from their clash with Dagruel looking worse for wear. Guy had the upper hand, of course, but Dagruel had held his own for some time.
Kevin during meeting, his mind turning toward Chronoa. He knew she would soon enter this timeline, potentially setting off a conflict with the true dragons. The future was looking uncertain, and that was exactly what made things exciting for Kevin.
The meeting had ended, but Kevin had other business with Guy.
Later, in the palace of guy in the Frost Continent, Kevin sat across from Guy in the demon lord's citadel. The cold air was sharp, but neither of them felt it.
"I've been thinking," Kevin said, swirling his cup of tea, "about the demonic sins ultimate skills. I'm interested in understanding the laws that govern this world, and those skills seem to be tied directly to that."
Guy raised an eyebrow. "You always have your eyes on something interesting, don't you?"
Kevin chuckled. "I know you possess an ultimate skill that can copy others. I bet you are also intrested in it and this is one of your reason for this council"
Guy grinned. "So, you caught on, huh? Yeah, my skill can replicate others' powers. I've used it to understand and copy Milim's."
Kevin leaned forward. "Then you know what I'm after. The daughter of Twilight. Her skill is still in its unique form, but it's part of the Sin series. I need to learn more about it."
Guy's smile widened. "You're always looking ahead. I like that."
Kevin stood, his expression serious. "I'm going to decrease the time flow in my domain. I'll spend decades there, training and studying. Contact me if anything interesting happens."
As Kevin vanished into the cold winds, Guy chuckled softly to himself. The world was changing but he still want his hands on Kevin time powers but he knows kevin can defeat him without it.
