Chapter 1: #justicefortruck-kun

Congested roads, cars honking at each other, slow movement, and angry drivers. Yup, you guessed it right. This is India, the land where drivers communicate through vehicle horns.

Throughout the day, there is not a single second where the roads are half-empty.

You might be wondering why there aren't any Isekai stories where the MC originated from India. That's because the maximum speed at which a rickshaw, let alone a truck, can run is about 30 km/h during the day, so it is almost impossible to be killed by truck-kun if you have basic awareness.

And that is where I came in to play.

Hi, my name is Manoj. I am currently 21 years old and a high school graduate. I don't like to brag, but it would not be an exaggeration to say I am a genius at my age. I have been placed second in the CBSE examination on the national level, which can be considered quite impressive.

Drunk in my achievements I do not see any career suitable enough to be pursued, so I decided to prepare to take the NEET exam, not because I liked the idea of saving lives, but because the financial resources and status it brought along with it were quite tempting.

I would not consider myself an outgoing person, but I also do not like the idea of being alone for the rest of my life. But to achieve a fulfilling life where I do not need to bow my head and have a beautiful wife and kids, I know I need to have restraint now so I can enjoy later.

And so I did. I decided to cut back on outdoor activities. Although I am not said to be attractive, I am not bad-looking, and I have my academic achievements to back me up, so I would get a few confessions from time to time. But I declined them all for the sake of my fulfilling life.

While my friends lost their virginity at 18, I was still a virgin at 21, but that was alright. After I pass the NEET exam, I will be the one enjoying life.

I still had about a month until the examination and was very confident in myself that I could score a passing grade, so I decided to take a little break and head out to treat myself to chai and paratha as a late-night snack.

Little do I know about my future.

And as I was heading to the crossroad that led to the local store, my focus was still fixated on my mobile phone. Then, from the other side of the road, a Toyota 407 was rushing with a sleep-deprived driver, not in full focus as he had clocked out from a long day of work.

His speed was not very fast as he was turning at the crossroad and could have been avoided if the pedestrian crossing the road had been attentive.

Sadly, the young man crossing the road was playing an R18 summertime saga in public with AirPods on one of his ears. Fortunately, the street was quite empty, or he would have been deemed a pervert.

Then, right at the crossroad, although it's speed was not that impressive , it was still fatal, with the victim unprepared.

Crashing to the ground with blood spilling from the cracks of his skull and 2D characters fucking on his phone—what a pathetic way to leave earth.

Before my consciousness fully faded, I could hear a few people rushing to the truck and banging at the driver's door, who was guilt-free and was just unfortunate to meet a honry bastard who was crossing the road with an erected genital bound to the waist of his elastic pants, watching 2D characters fucking in synchronized motion.

I heard that just the other day, the son of a powerful figure was recklessly driving through the streets and unlived two people, but to everyone's surprise, he was sentenced to write an essay and a few months of community work.

Like, what the fuck??? This cha-cha will probably be sentenced to a few years in prison and would probably have a hard time finding a new place to hire him, all because he didn't have a definite background.

A place where a person's status was defined by status and financial resources could compensate for an unpleasant demeanor—what could this place be? Yup, again, you guessed it right. This is India.

As for the driver, I felt terrible for him, and if I were still alive, I would probably rant on the internet saying "#JUSTICEFORTRUCK-KUN" like the Americans did, or, in this case, "#JUSTICEFORCHACHA-KUN.

After I lost consciousness, all was quiet and dark. There was nothing to be felt—not fear, not grief, nor regret. But strangely, I was still aware of my surroundings. I could tell that it was dark, which means that I still have my sight, as darkness is not void. Blind people seeing darkness is actually a misconception, as blindness is a spectrum and darkness is only the absence of light.

And although I couldn't see myself, I could sense that I did not possess a humanoid figure, and for about twenty minutes, or so I think, I just kept floating around.

That's where I saw a light at a far distance, and with whatever means, maybe spiritual energy or sheer will, I was definitely getting closer to the light.

With a closer look, the light was actually a collection of several portals combined; there were thousands of them.

There were four colors in total: red, green, blue, and purple.

From my unhealthy amount of knowledge of Isekai stories, I was positive that these colors were indicating the difficulty of the world or something.

Then I saw that they had small letters depicted above them, and I moved closer to them.

The one closest to me had a purple color and a Japanese name, and just as I was about to check the next portal, I could feel a force pulling me, and right before getting sucked in, I could faintly read the portal next to it.

Then, WHOOSH, I was in the portal.

Another moment of absolute darkness, and at the next moment, I found myself lying down on a luxurious bed.

I woke up in a room that was a masterpiece of opulence and elegance. As I opened my eyes, the first thing that caught my attention was the ceiling, adorned with intricate frescoes and a grand crystal chandelier that sparkled softly in the morning light. The walls were lined with rich, deep mahogany panels, complemented by sumptuous velvet drapes in a deep burgundy hue that framed floor-to-ceiling windows.

The bed beneath me was a king-size marvel of comfort, draped in the finest Egyptian cotton sheets and a plush, down-filled duvet

Elegant touches were everywhere: from the antique Persian rug underfoot to the fresh bouquet of roses on the bedside table, filling the air with a delicate fragrance. This room was a haven of sophistication, designed to provide the utmost in comfort and aesthetic pleasure.

It seems I have transmigrated

Hello, this is the author. This is actually my second book. I left my first book because, after rereading it for a while, I was almost cringing to death. Anyway, this is just a hobby, so please be a bit understanding of the quality and also ask me anything about the story line if you are lost.

Thank you for your time.^∆^
