Sinbad: "Sandaime-sama, what has happened over the past year?"
Hiruzen: "Firstly, the Third Kazekage was assassinated and Rasa, who possesses the Gold Dust technique, was appointed. After that, Sunagakure withdrew from the war and signed a surrender treaty with us." Hiruzen takes a puff from his pipe.
Hiruzen continues, "Then Iwagakure raided Kumogakure with 10,000 ninjas. The Third Raikage stopped them at the cost of his own life, and now his son has become the Fourth Raikage. They also ceased fighting."
Sinbad, with fake sadness: "I wanted to fight him again."
Hiruzen smiles and continues, "As for Iwa, after losing 10,000 ninjas, they won't be able to fight either."
Sinbad, questioning: "So what about Konoha?"
Hiruzen, smiling: "Now we are the biggest winners in this war since you returned, Sinbad-kun." Hiruzen takes another puff from his pipe. "We are now choosing the Fourth Hokage."
Sinbad: "So who do you nominate for the position, Sandaime-sama?"
Hiruzen: "Orochimaru and Minato."
Sinbad: "As long as Sensei is running, I won't nominate myself."
Hiruzen, laughing: "I wouldn't have accepted your nomination. How could I sacrifice one of the village's most competent ninjas?"
Sinbad, smiling and thinking: "This old fox knows I would have taken everything from him, and logically, he won't choose Orochimaru-sensei. He wants someone he can control. Little does he know how firm and resolute Minato can be."
Sinbad: "I trust that you will choose the best for the village, Hokage-sama." He stands up and says, "I'll take a break for a while."
Hiruzen, with a grandfatherly smile: "Rest well, my boy."
After Sinbad leaves the room, he finds Danzo at the door, likely eavesdropping. Sinbad smiles at him, "Who are you, old one-eyed man, and how did you get in here?"
Before Danzo can protest and shout at Sinbad, Sinbad grabs him by the neck, exerting his royal haki on him. The Anbu rush in, trying to stop Sinbad.
An Anbu Jonin: "Stop, Sinbad, this is Elder Danzo, a member of the council." Or so the Anbu thought he would say, but in reality, he and his men were subdued by Danzo under the pressure of Sinbad's haki.
Hiruzen, hearing the commotion outside, goes to see what is happening and finds this chaos.
Hiruzen, shouting: "Stop, Sinbad, this is Danzo, one of the council elders."
Sinbad looks at Hiruzen with innocent eyes, then releases Danzo, who falls to the ground. Sinbad bows: "I'm sorry, Danzo-sama, I thought you were a spy eavesdropping on us inside."
Hiruzen, sweating: "It's over, everyone. Go and enjoy your time off."
A while after Sinbad leaves, inside Hiruzen's office:
Hiruzen looks at the handprint on his friend's neck and asks worriedly: "Are you sure you're okay?"
Danzo, after calming down, replies angrily: "Damn that rude child. I told you, Hiruzen, we shouldn't let him grow and should have recruited him into the Root."
Hiruzen, defending calmly while looking into Danzo's eyes: "Danzo, we were at war; we needed all kinds of talents. With such talent, the boy held back the Kumo front alone. And you know Orochimaru wouldn't let it go quietly."
Hiruzen wins the dominance contest that just occurred.
Hiruzen: "Tell me, what did you see when he subdued you and the Anbu under his dominance?"
Danzo: "The entire place was dark, and there was a huge monster staring at me from the darkness, placing the weight of mountains on my body. It was the first time I felt this kind of fear. My whole being wanted to offer my neck to him."
Outside the Hokage building, Sinbad stands, watching ninjas walking around.
Sinbad: "First things first: I need to find Anko. So, I'll start by going to her apartment."
At Anko's apartment, Sinbad knocks on the door. A 14-year-old Anko opens it, holding a glass of water. As soon as she sees Sinbad, the glass drops from her hand. Anko: "I must be hallucinating." She shuts the door in Sinbad's face, but he places his foot in the way, stopping it from closing.
Sinbad: "No, you're not hallucinating, Anko-chan."
Anko channels her chakra through her body to break free from genjutsu, but nothing changes. She looks into Sinbad's eyes and then punches him with all her might: "Damn you, Sinbad! How dare you show your face now?" He falls to the ground, and she throws herself on him, crying hard while punching his face, to which he offers no resistance.
After some time of punching and crying, Sinbad says: "I'm home."
