Chapter 19: Very Obedient Angel

After being discharged from the hospital and returning home, Angel, with her right hand in a sling, received meticulous care from Himeko.

Although Angel knew that her injury was purely the result of her self-righteousness,  wanting to show her talent, and because she knew she would not die, so she subconsciously had fewer hesitations and stepped into a place where she was one step into disaster.

But in Himeko's view, this was her dereliction of duty as a caretaker. She failed to let Angel realize the danger of Honkai energy, which was a lack of responsibility in guiding her education.

The next morning, Himeko patiently fed Angel, tidied her skirt for her, changed her into white shoes, and led her to the principal's office. After leaving the house, Angel grabbed the corner of Himeko's clothes with her intact left hand. The more she recalled Himeko's caring care, the guiltier she felt.

"Himeko..."

Angel raised her head from behind and looked at Himeko's silky wine-red long hair with tears in her eyes. Himeko heard the voice, looked back, and couldn't help patting Angel's head.

"What are you doing?"

It was the first time Himeko saw Angel's tearful appearance. Feeling Angel's regret, her heart softened immediately. In that relief, she felt that the fatigue from not sleeping well in the past two days was nothing.

"Himeko, I'm sorry. I will treat you well in the future!"

Angel twisted her thin eyebrows and spoke with a determined face.

'Sister Himeko, although I have to hide a lot of things and lied to you several times, I will definitely double compensate you in the future. You have to believe me!'

The Angels swore together in their hearts. Himeko couldn't stop smiling and rubbed Angel's little head.

"Little brat..."

Himeko scolded with a smile, then took Angel's left hand and led her all the way to the dean's office.

"Hey, you were just discharged from the hospital last night, so you don't have to go to class for the next two days. There's no one at home during the day, so you can stay at the dean's place for a while. She has a lot of food here, as well as comics and game consoles, which is perfect for a little kid like you."

Himeko pressed Angel on the sofa, then took out fruits and a fruit knife from the refrigerator in the corner. She quickly cut a fruit in a plate and placed it in front of Angel.

"By the way, the dean likes to slack off and read comics during office hours. So I'll give you a task. If you find her slacking off, remember to notify me. I'll give you a reward, little Angel~"

Himeko leaned close to Angel's ear and whispered with a smile. The warm breath on her sensitive ears made Angel blush, and she nodded obediently.

However, Theresa was standing behind Himeko with her hands behind her back at this time. No matter how quietly she spoke, Himeko's orders couldn't escape the hearing of the S-level Valkyrie.

Theresa kicked Himeko on the calf and said with a stern face:

"Don't spread rumors about me in front of me! Get out of here and go to work. If I find out that you spread such unfounded remarks maliciously, I will deduct all your wages!"

Himeko was unmoved, still with a lazy smile, and waved:

"Yes, yes, the principal is right. Then, I will go to work first, and bring you lunch at noon. Bye, little guy."

"Bye, Himeko!"

Angel said goodbye seriously, watching Himeko push the door and go out, and then turned her eyes to Theresa in front of her. Theresa had been observing Angel's reaction from beginning to end. At this time, she raised her lips and said in a sweet and childish voice:

"Hehe! It seems that you get along well with Himeko. From just now until now, your eyes have been glued to her. What's the matter? Is this dean not cute enough?"

"..."

Angel picked up a piece of fruit, chewed it, and looked at Theresa woodenly without saying a word.

'Of course she is cute, but I am an autistic cat now. I can't talk to strangers casually. I have to be reserved!'

Angel put on a cool mask in front of Theresa with confidence.

'By the way, the fruit cut by Himeko is so sweet~~'

Theresa raised her eyebrows and had nothing to say. After all, she had heard from Himeko that this child was very vigilant. There was nothing she could do if she was not familiar with her. She took out a comic book from behind her and said:

"This dean recommends 'The Legend of Homu : The Great Adventure Part 6'. It is a masterpiece with unparalleled plot depth and artistic level. It has been published for ten years and its popularity has not diminished at all. Little guy, take it and read it with gratitude. This is a rare commemorative collector's edition signed by the author. I won't give it to others who want it!"

Theresa put the comic book on the table, then turned around and walked back to her office with a confident smile.

'Hehe! No one can resist the charm of the Legend of Homu! Wait and see, Himeko, this little guy will soon become a follower of this dean, and then become my loyal fan!'

Angel tilted her head, not knowing what Theresa was thinking. However, although she was not very interested in things like Homu, she really had no other way to kill time at the moment, so she flipped through the comic and read it casually while eating the fruit plate cut by Himeko.

As time passed and the comic book became more and more engaging, Angel had to admit that Welt was indeed capable of creating a legendary IP. Under the childish style of art, the story depicted was very romantic and cute, with the purity and touch that children liked...

Hmm, no, wait, something seems to be wrong.

Angel's expression became serious, and she turned her head to look in the direction of the desk, but saw that Theresa's figure had long been blocked by the pile of documents and was out of her sight.

"Himeko's reward..."

Angel remembered Himeko's instructions before she left, and her heart suddenly itched.

Himeko's reward, although it should be a very safe healthy type, but what if, right?

Angel's eyes suddenly became sharp.

At this time, Theresa was happily reading comics.

'Although work is also important, it doesn't make any difference whether it is finished earlier or later. I just read for an hour, just one hour, it doesn't affect anything, right?'

Theresa flipped through the comic book, and with a slight sense of guilt, she was able to immerse herself in the plot and indulge in the pleasure of lazing off in office.

"Click! Click!"

Suddenly, with the keen senses of an S-class Valkyrie, Theresa detected the sound of a camera behind her. Theresa still had a happy smile on her face, and turned her head. She saw Angel lying on top of the tall bookcase behind her like a kitten, with the camera of her mobile phone facing Theresa, and the light of the screen illuminated Angel's expressionless face.

"Hey! Cute little Angel, what are you doing in such a high place? Come down quickly, look, the principal has just found the next volume of the comic and is about to give it to you."

Theresa smiled stiffly. Then...

"Ding Dong!"

There was a familiar sound, and Angel's video message was sent. Theresa's smile disappeared. And Angel obediently groped her way down the bookcase, walked to the original position of the sofa, and sat down very obediently.
