"You are saying that Dr. Lilith went back home because her mother got attacked?" Gabriel enquired during the call.

Eveline resolved to retrieve the video from the parking lot in order to find the source of the brake tampering ever since they found out the accident was intentional.

Yes the car Jay drove was taken for examination through which they found that the brakes were tampered in order to harm Gabriel.
