Chapter 56: This sounds familiar

Taking a serious look at Gabriel, Eveline turned to see Alex's dark expression.

Gabriel's intervention indeed brought the switch in his gaze that went from happy to cold in the flip of a second.

"Excuse us," Gabriel said, dragging Eveline away without allowing her to object, leaving Alex stranded and furious.

Eveline began to follow Gabriel's lead after a few stumbles and exclaimed, "What the hell was that? How dare you just walk in on our conversation and take me with you?"

Gabriel gave a mockingly sly grin and asked, "Would you like to accompany him? Let me, however, remind you, Eveline I promised to keep you away from him. So give up on the idea of going anywhere by yourself with him."

When Gabriel said he was there to protect her, he was not kidding. But guess Eveline took his words lightly.

As they continued to walk, Eveline felt like screaming at him for being overbearing.
