Chapter 15: Grinding the dungeon.
As I was being surrounded by a group of wolves and goblins. I looked at my surroundings and thought what to do.
I kicked at the ground and jumped high at the sky.
Swish
I looked down at the monsters and then placed my hand below. From my hand hundreds of beams of light rained down on them.
Grrrr
Hhaaa
They screamed in pain. I fell down on the ground and then used my left foot to and stomped on the ground. From the ground several spikes of light appeared and stabbed in the other monsters.
Ahhh
Grrr
I looked at the bodies lying around me and then looked at the system window.
<mission: kill 10 wolves and 20 goblins. (Complete)
Reward: gold coins ×100, wolf bones ×4.>
I sighed. Another window popped up in front of me.
< Do you wise to continue?
Yes or no>
I chose yes and the trees infront of me parted and a small pathway appeared.
I walked infront of the pathway. I looked in it but saw only darkness.
But, eventually I walked in. After walking for sometime I reached a clearing and saw a group of goblins riding some wolves which was bigger than the previous ones and five goblins who had staffs on their hands.
Then a window appeared notifying me of my mission.
<Welcome to stage two!
Mission: kill 10 goblin riders and five goblin mages.
Side quest: Complete mission without getting hurt.
Reward: 10 item draw.>
As I read my mission, remembered that only magic can harm me. so, I need to be careful around the mages.
I walked towards them. The moment I got near them the riders rushed at me the goblins were holding spears which they were aiming at me.
I also rushed towards them while both me hands had orbs of light in it. As soon as I got near them I threw the orbs at them. The orbs hit the ones infront and it created a huge expansion which killed some of them who were infront. While the ones in the back threw their spears at me. I dodged to the side and shot a beam at them.
BOOOOOM
As, I marveled at the destruction I caused. I sensed something approaching near me. Good thing I trained my haki. I moved my head to the side to dodge a fire ball which passed by me.
I looked ahead to see the goblin mages charging another attack. I didn't want to give them anytime.
Yata mirror..
I vanished in a beam of light and appeared behind the mages.
Sword of justice..
My hand glowed and a sword made of light appeared. I slashed my sword horizontally at the monsters.
Slash..
I decapitated four of the five mages. The last one teleported away and shot his attack at me. A bolt of lightning shot at me at a fast pace. But, I am faster than lightning.
Yata mirror..
I flashed infront of him avoiding the lightning attack.
The goblin mage was startled at first. But, than pulled out a potion from his pocket.
I didn't give him any chance, so I put my fingers at him in a shape of a gun. Aimed at his head and said, "Bang!"
Baangg..
His head exploded. Than a pathway appeared behind me. I looked at the pathway and flashed near it.
I looked inside and again was meet with nothing but darkness.
I sighed and walked in.
From my system I got notification of me completing the mission and getting my rewards.
When I reached the end if the pathway, I again found myself infront of a clearing but this time instead of goblins and wolves. I was meet by two huge bears in armours holding huge axes. Then a window appeared infront of me.
<congratulations on completing the 2nd stage of the dungeon!
Now would you like to do the 3rd stage?
Yes or no>
I again chose yes as I didn't have any choice.
<Mission: kill two fire bears.
Side quest: No using the light fruit. If you accept light fruit will be deactivated.
Reward: 1 special title, 20× item draw, C rank Dungeon key ×2.>
I sighed and accepted the mission. I looked at the bears who were growling at me.
Grrrrrh
I put my leg up at the classic black leg style pose and said.
Diablo Jambe!!
My legs were engulfed in flames as I rushed at them. The ground cracked beneath me.
Swish..
I appeared infront of the first bear and hit him on his stomach. Before he could fly off I axe kicked on his head which changed his trajectory towards the other bear.
The second bear saw this and move to the side and dodged. He then went on all four and ran at me. His claws were glowing with a red aura.
I flashed behind him using flash step and kicked him on the back of his head.
He fell down with a big impact. I stood on his back with my foot held high which had a black aura on it, which indicated the use of haki. I was aiming to kill him and finish the mission quickly.
As I was about to kill him a axe came flying at my. I dodged my head from getting chopped off.
I looked to the side and saw the first bear was now up but still he was huffing and puffing. He growled at me.
Grrhhh
His armour fell down reveling his fur. Which was red and was burning.
Roarrr
He roared at the sky and flames appeared around him. He looked much more menacing now. He looked at me with a wicked smile and charged at me. Flames engulfed around him.
I jumped up using Sky jump. He hit the second bear knocking him away. I kicked downwards with my foot creating an air stomp which hit his head and he hit the ground. He was incapacitated.
Wasting no time I fell on him with haki and fire engulfing my leg.
My foot went through him. Even then I manipulated the flames on my leg to burn him from the inside.
Turns out even though he could create flames his insides were not flame resistant.
After cooking him from the inside I turned to look at the first bear who was leaning against a tree.
I jumped down from the second bears back and started to walk towards him. When I was infront of him, I put my foot on his chest and kicked him hard.
After killing him I got a notification which gave me my rewards.
The tree which was behind me opened from the inside and a portal appeared.
The portal was black and purple. I looked at it than i walked in knowing that I will reach the final stage.
Then in a flash I appeared infront of a wooden gate. A huge wall was surrounding the area. Beside the gate there was a witch and beside her was a big yellow crystal.
Seeing as I didn't get any notification from the system, I walked towards her.
"Welcome, adventurer! I am a witch who will give you some help in fighting the boss."
The witch said in a raspy voice. She then pointed her hand at the door.
"Behind this door is a powerful enemy. The final boss. If you defeat him, you will complete the dungeon and be able to return home. You will also get many rewards."
Hearing her I walked infront of the gate intending to go in and beat the boss. But, before I could open the huge gate, the old witch told me something.
" Before you go, please place your hands on this crystal. This crystal will return you back if you get killed. Think of this as a spawn point."
I was going to refuse but the witch beat me to it.
"Before you say you don't need it. I must warn you many adventurers like came and tried to fight the boss, thinking he would be weak like his minions but, all of them never came back. The minions doesn't indicate if the doss is weak or strong. The boss could be way stronger than you think. So, better safe than sorry, right?"
Hearing her I went on thinking. I than asked june if it was safe.
<Don't worry host. If is safe to trust her. She is a npc who is meant to help you.>
After confirming me it with June I agreed with the witch.
I walked infront of the crystal and placed my hand on it. The crystal glowed and I felt something being sucker in the crystal. After that I retracted my hand and looked at the witch.
"Very good, now you can go. But, before you go would you like to buy some health potions? They might help you fight the boss."
I sighed and agreed to buy some potions from her. As, I got some coins from beating the monsters and completing missions.
[ Healing potion×1 = 10 G.C
Regenerative potion ×1= 50 G.C
Stamina potion ×1 = 20 G.C ]
I bought 10 Healing potions, 3 Regenerative potions and 3 Stamina potions.
Even if I don't need it, it might come in handy in the real world.
Then I walked in front of the gates and placed my hand on it. A window appeared infront of me.
< Stage 4 : Boss room.
Are ready to fight the boss.
Mission: kill the boss. Use any means necessary.
Rewards:????
Yes or no.>
Reading it I answered yes but I was now little bit scared. Even the system was asking me to be careful. What kind of boss am I going to face?
The gates opened and I walked in.
When I reached the exit, I was greeted by a huge clearing. Trees were around the area acting like walls. Light fell from above. In the middle of the arena stood a bulking figure. He had steel armour around him on his hand was a huge butcher knife which looked like the executioners blade of zabuzas.
Around him was a dark red aura which screamed death and evil. He had a red ruby on his head. His eyes were white.
Before I could see more a window appeared infront of me.

Items: Jem of agni, Adamantium butcher sword.
Ability: Haki/Aura, bloodlust, Berserker mode.
Stats: Speed c, Attack A, Defence A, Stamina S, Agility B.
Special ability: Mark of Gluttony: Heals after eating.
Summoning: summons monsters.>
My eyes almost popped out of my head after reading the stats of this.
Two A rank stats and it still is a D rank boss. I mean how!?
And haki, it means he can chop me like a kabab.
He even as a second form.
I looked at the big guy, who looked even more menacing after reading his stats.
"If this is a D rank boss, what is a A rank boss going to be? Better yet what is a S rank boss going to be, God??!"
