Chapter 19: CHAPTER 19 - ANITA VS LEE
This was something new to them, although they had seen the warriors of the city fight, they weren't usually that close to watch it.
Jake was carried out of the wall and taken to an alchemist, that last punch Daniel gave him broke some ribs and bones in his body.
Daniel came out of the stage looking tattered and dirty looking like a beggar.
He went to the changing rooms in the coliseum and took a cold bath and had his clothes changed then went back to the place they sat.
Up in the coliseum in another private room, the city lord, some family major heads, and the academy teachers were gathered.
"That boy who just won the fight has a huge potential, this type of talent is only seen in the top cities, do you know who his parents are?" The city lord asked, while thinking of something.
"Also what's his name," he continued.
"His name is Daniel," one of the academy teachers replied, and his parents are dead he's an orphan that awoken part of his talents two months ago.
"Well that means you guys had to be training him well for his talent to get partially awakened," the city lord said.
"No, we didn't train him, in fact, we didn't even take notice of him till am accident happened two months ago and he was brought into the academy," the teachers replied.
"He's really a high-level talent, with no training whatsoever in just a matter of two months he was able to become this strong, what of he had been undergoing training since young?" he thought.
It's a regret he was found a little late, compared to the other city, youth their ages had awakened and some even roamed the continent alone, and another thing he didn't want to mention was that their path was flawed.
Their path to strength is flawed, when they go to other cities they would notice it, it may be too late to change their path like him or would have an easier way changing their path.
That was one reason their city was a low-ranking city, because our path power is flawed or termed impossible.
It's not like he could just say it to the whole city and correct their mistakes, they didn't have any proper resources to train the unflawed so they had to send their geniuses to another large city for training to get rid of the flawed path.
The next match was between Anita and Lee and they were both knives or short sword users.
They entered the stage and got themselves in their position, they both had a similar fighting style due to their common weapon.
The crowd was just seeing them appear and then disappear in different areas of the stage and hearing the clashing sound of weapons.
Their speed was unparalleled, like Daniel who had endurance, strength, and skill over his level, they had speed way above their class.
The city lord was up in the coliseum with a large smile on his face, this year their city had produced three high-level geniuses, not to mention there were other geniuses in blacksmithing and alchemist professions.
If things go well their city will receive high-level resources.
Back at the fight both Lee and Anita were still going at each other, Anida couldn't use her bow due to Lee's unimaginable speed, she could only use her double daggers.
The world felt slow in her eyes, but even in this state Lee was still moving so fast that she could hardly focus on him.
The same thing was happening to Lee, die to his high speed he had long learned how to see the world in slow motion, but the speed Anita was exhibiting was above his slow motion.
Although he could move faster than he was currently moving, he kept his cards hidden, he wanted to use that state for Daniel the final opponent.
Anita at her side has been studying Lee's movement pattern. Every time she tried to hit or attack him, how he dodged each time so she knew he was still hiding a lot.
He moved leisurely, barely sweating as they fought, every time she would attack he would dodge at the last second preventing her from attacking again, and then he would launch a counterattack at her forcing her to dodge.
If this was months before Anita would have given, but time had passed, seasons had changed and leaves had fallen from trees, she had also grown.
She hadn't been using her true strength, she wanted to observe Lee's fighting style before she started fighting seriously.
She had seen enough already, this time instead of attacking she went to the edge of the stage and drew her bow.

The sound of her bow string sounded out, as she shot Lee who was at the other corner allowed her to do what she wanted since he was technically faster than her so he could just dodge her attack.
She was already breathing fast and sweating it was a sign of tiredness, while he was barely sweating. But he didn't dare to be careless since she might be launching her final attack due to her being tired.
He saw some arrows flying at him the next moment, he dodged the first two and struck the third one with his short sword.
He didn't know what she was planning, but if she just planned on shooting arrows at him that wouldn't work.
Then she aimed at his leg and shot, "so she's trying to reduce my speed by shooting at my leg, doesn't she know I can dodge it" he thought.
He dodged expecting her to shoot another arrow but something else happened, as the arrow touched the ground a grey smoke exploded.
Not even a second later a dagger came flying and brushed past his cheeks, tearing that part leaving him bleeding.
Somehow Anita could still notice Lee's figure inside the smoke, she shot more arrows at him.
It was harder for him to dodge now, instead of relying on his sight he had to rely on his hearing.
Two of the arrows shot landed on his shoulder and he dodged one, he ran quickly trying to leave the smoke.
He got out but his eyes hurt, some smoke particles had entered his eyes.
He tried opening his eyes and saw Anita shooting at him, he dodged and blocked now that he could see, but the arrow that he dodged hit another part of the arena and the smoke erupted again.
"Welcome to my domain" Anita said speaking for the first time.
