He paused and the little emotion his tone showed at the mention of Arundathi vanished but as he continued after few seconds,
"looks like I got too ahead of myself and said some unnecessary things let's get to the point, I am leaving Avi, and also I know you many questions in that little head of yours but believe me, One day I will not only talk while looking into your eyes but answer them all, Avi you held up well, I know it's not easy, but please do the same till I come back and also, bear uncle. Take care"
He turned to leave her room and as he left, his lips formed an evil smile.
On the other side, Avi rose from her bed and looked at the place Aarav was sitting earlier and while touching it gently as if trying to feel his and said,"I am looking forward to it 'Ray' and I hope that you will not disappoint me, for the first time in my life I felt you expressing emotions, not the fake smile that you always had but the real ones. So, I am trusting you Ray."
leaving the room, Aarav reached the study in this mansion, Although the outsides was dark, the insides was well illuminated, it felt as if the outer darkness couldn't match the inner glint. Aarav was seated in a Leatherette revolving office chair, gave off a powerful aura as if just his command could crush people's future.

Aarav knew who the person was but chose not to turn face him, just remembering this man's description( from the novel) was giving him chills.

It was a high profile event with people from different profession attending it.
Category for the awards ranged from business to social service. The awards were being presented to people from different backgrounds and receiving it was possible only if that particular person was best in the category.
Aarav received an award as the best entrepreneur of the year, he and his friends were having fun when a particular girl caught his attention, seeing his looking in a particular direction all Aarav's friends heads turned and one of them said,"Aarav are you interested in that red Chudidar girl"
Aarav turned his head to the guy and while sipping his drink said,"Nah, who will be interested in that auntie, I am interested in girls, sexy girls and such auntie is not my cup of tea".
"If that's the case, you are safe" his friend said with a relieved expression.
Aarav couldn't understand why were they giving hype to a normal girl and asked,"Why? What's with her?"
Hearing him ask about her his friends were surprised and one of them said, "You don't know? She is from another planet bro and attitude is just on another level, Our friend Ajay asked her out and you know what her reaction was?, she behaved like a total badass dude"
"Hahhaha" all others laughed at his answer remembering the scene, while another continued"Yes, and on top of that she even lectured him for an hour or so, poor Ajay his reputation was a gone cause"
Looking at his friends Aarav sneered and said, "Are you even friends? How could you make fun of him? We should be lifting his spirits people. Every girl has her own expectations from the man she sleeps with, but I guess this girl has more, she is just playing it hard to get, and I am sure once she hears my name she will be climbing my bed on her own, so let's show him that this girl is nothing special."
Aarav rose from his seat ready to go the girl they were talking about.
"Are you sure Aarav?" One of Aarav's friends grabbed his shoulder and asked doubtfully and continued his point
"She isn't like those girls, who open their legs wide for a man just because of his status or money"
Aarav smirked in response of his friend's words and said without turning,"Common, Vikranth all girls are the same, some show their colors early while some take their time" he took two steps and remembered that he didn't know her name and asked, "What's her name?"
"Arundhati"One of his friends answered.
