CHAPTER 13 – REWARDS
After the incident with the Beedrill and Troy and after having catched two new Pokémon, we arrived in Pewter City without any extra incident, the bad thing is that it was already dark when we arrived, so we could not go sightseeing because it was already quite late.
"We have to go to the Pokémon Center, it's too late and if you don't rest, tomorrow you won't be able to think correctly and you will lose to Brock" – Celeste said.
"Ok, but I have a question" – I said.
We were walking to the Pokémon Center with Pikachu, who lay asleep in my arms.
"What's wrong?" - asked Celeste.
"Your grandmother told me that, as a Pokémon trainer, I can sleep in the Pokémon Center without paying a single Poké" – I said.
"That's right, pokémon Trainers that participate in the Pokémon League can sleep for free at any Pokémon Center in the region" - Celeste nodded.
"But you're not a Pokémon trainer, will they let you in without paying?" – I asked curiously.
I had just realized that Celeste wasn't a trainer, so She'd probably have to pay money to sleep at the Pokémon Center.
"Oh yes, I should have told you earlier" – Celeste said.
"Tell me what?" – I asked.
"Since I am a Nurse Joy in trainee, I can sleep for free in any Pokémon Center just like the pokémon trainers" – Celeste explained.
"Hmm, it makes sense" – I said.
Well, technically she's a Joy nurse or she will be in the future, so she should have that privilege.

At the Pokémon Center.
When we entered the Pokémon Center, the first thing I noticed was that it was identical to the one in Viridian City, totally identical, there was nothing different.
"I know what you're thinking, actually, all Pokémon Centers are identical, at least in most regions, there's no exact reason for this, but it's believed to be traditional" - Celeste said.
The truth is that there was no reason why all Pokémon Centers were the same, it's just that they decided to keep the same appearance as the first Pokémon Centers, only with much more modern and current facilities.
After Celeste told me this interesting information, we went to the counter where Nurse Joy was.
The truth is that since it was so late, there was no one there and we didn't have to wait queue.
"Good night" – we both said.
"Oh, good night, you must be Ash and Celeste, am I right?" - asked Nurse Joy.
"Excuse me, do we know you?" – I asked surprised.
To my knowledge, I only know one nurse Joy.
"Not personally, but Celeste's grandmother told me about you and how you saved the Pokémon Center in Viridian City, an heroic feat" - smiled Nurse Joy.
"Thank you very much" – I said somewhat embarrassed.
"You're welcome, by the way, if you come to sleep you don't need to register or anything, as your grandmother told me that you would come, I took the trouble to register you, so you can go to your room right now" – said Nurse Joy.
Then, she gave us a key with a key ring that had the number "4" on it.
"Since you are a new trainer, I will give you a brief explanation, the Pokémon Centers, all of them, have more than 20 rooms available for Pokémon trainers to sleep for free, the room has two beds, a television and a bathroom" – explained nurse Joy.
In other words, a mini hotel for Pokémon trainers and Nurses Joy .
"Thank you for the explanation" – I nodded.
It's always good to know more about the world where I live.
"You're welcome" - Nurse Joy smiled.
After telling us where we should go, Celeste and I entered the room.
By the way, Celeste could have slept in another room, but she refused because apparently she didn't like sleeping alone.
The room was just as Nurse Joy had described it, in fact, the furniture was much more luxurious than I thought and the television was expensive-looking.
"Haaa..." – Celeste yawned.
"I think it's better that we go to sleep, Pikachu has been sleeping for a long time and from what I see, we are both quite sleepy" – I said.
Celeste had already changed into her pink pajamas while I put on a very simple blue pajamas, courtesy of my mother.
"Yes... I'm sorry, Ash, I'd like to talk with you for a while, but I'm super tired, so, if you don't mind, I'll go to sleep" – Celeste said.
"Go ahead, I'll go to sleep too" – I nodded.
Hearing that, Celeste lay down on her bed and fell asleep as soon as she closed her eyes, while I lay down and opened the system.
Since I hadn't been alone for a single minute since this morning, I hadn't been able to check the rewards for doing my mission, so, now that I was "alone," it was time to do it.
"System, I'm sorry I haven't told you anything in all this time, but I think it's time to see my rewards" – I said.
Poor system, I left him alone.
[No problem, host, don't worry about me, I know you've had a hard day, I don't reproach you]
"Thank you... I'm exhausted and about to fall asleep, this first day has been very tiring..." – I said.
I was very sleepy, but the desire to see my rewards kept me awake.
[Ok, here you go... Congratulations to the host for completing your first mission, for which you have won 10 gacha tickets!
And there's more, because you've catched your first Shiny, you've completed the hidden mission: Catch your first Shiny, for that, you earn a Black Belt and 5 gacha tickets!]
Perfect, these are great gifts!
Without waiting a single second, I equipped the Black Belt to Bunneary by boosting her Double Kick by 20%, which would be very useful for us tomorrow.
But that wasn't the only thing I did, I also checked the stats of Butterfree and Bulbasaur and I was surprised.
For starters, they were both female Pokémon.
Butterfree's nature was Timid, which increased its speed and decreased its physical attack, which was quite good for this Pokémon as its defenses were very bad.
Her Ivs were 31 in special attack and speed while in both defenses she had 20 and in attack only 5 points.
Her attacks were what a normal Butterfree, Confusion, Sleep Powder, Harden, and Psybeam.
As for its color... it simply appeared as if she was Shiny, although I doubt it is because the Shiny Butterfree have a very different color from this one.
And finally, Bulbasaur has a Modest nature, which is not bad at all and her Ivs were 31 in special attack and both defenses, while she had only 10 in speed and 5 in attack, it was not bad.
Her moves were pretty good, which were Vine Whip, Leech Seed, Growth and for some unknown reason, her fourth move was Energy Ball.
This last move Bulbasaur only learned through a TM, so I had no idea why a Bulbasaur that until recently had been a wild Pokémon, had this attack, but I didn't care about that because better for me, because with this attack, Brock will have nothing to do against me.
"Perfect, I like it, I was quite lucky today" – I said.
Obviously I knew that I could not have the same luck on a daily basis, but I have enjoyed my day of good luck and no one can take that away from me.
[Host, do you want to use the gacha tickets and try your luck?]
"I would like to, but... I think I'll leave it for tomorrow... I'm quite sleepy..." – I said.
My eyes were slowly closing.
[Don't worry, you just call me whenever you want and I will always answer]
"Thank you for everything..." – I said with my eyes half closed.
[You're welcome, rest well, host]
"Thank you... you too..." – I said.
And then, I closed my eyes and fell asleep with Pikachu by my side.
What neither Ash nor Celeste knew is that Team Rocket, that is, Jessie, James and Meowth had just arrived in Pewter City in the hope of finding the trainer of the Pikachu who sent them flying a few hours ago.
