Duelist Kingdom Castle: 2 Hours Later
POV [Third Person]
Inside of Pegasus castle all finalists of Duelist Kingdom are having a feast of multiple different foods ranging from soups to steaks to salads. The strongest duelist in the world are conversing and eating together Yugi Moto and Joey Wheeler asking questions to their mutual friend Riku Yulunger.
"Hey Riku how did you get 10 starchips when we last talked to you, you only had 5" Yugi politely asked the dark haired teen. "Well I was lucky enough to find a eliminator that I was able to defeat and he gave me all the starchips I needed."
The blonde headed woman Mai Valentine perks up and glances in Riku's direction as the other blonde Joey Wheeler questions the teen. "So you were able to take down a eliminator too? I suppose it makes sense since you were able to beat the Bandit guy."
"All finalists look here. This screen will assign you all a number and randomise them to give you your opponents for tomorrow."
A black suited man comes out from the main door and drops down a screen showing each finalists name with a number under it, then all numbers are randomized in a cartoony animation.
Joey Wheeler D, Riku Yulunger B, Yugi Moto A, Mai Valentine C.
"For the first match we have Yugi Moto vs. Mai Valentine and Joey Wheeler vs.Riku Yulunger. Get some rest duelists the first match will be Yugi Moto vs. Mai Valentine tomorrow at 8AM."
After informing the finalists of their matches the black suited man exits the dining room. Next the blonde woman Mai Valentine also exits the room and the tall dark haired teen exits the room 5 minutes after the blonde.
POV [Riku Yulunger]
'This got slightly complicated I can't just go and talk to Mai. I mean I can it's just wierd if I do I mean our last interaction was oddly emotional compared to our previous interactions. I used a completely different persona with Mai when we were along compared to when I was with Yugi and Joey.'
"You seem conflicted." Looking to my left I see Beast of Talwar which means he's finished with what I asked him to do. "It's nothing major just trying how to talk to Mai since last time wasn't the best."
The Archfiend looks to me with his piercing yellow eyes "I see so if I'm getting this right you talked to her about something you didn't mean to share and now your not sure how you sure talk to her since whenever you try the only thing you can think about is the overwhelming silence of your last conversation"
My jaw has fallen to the floor at this point. "Yeah I mean you can put it like that. The real question is how could you see through me like that." The fiend looks at me with what appears to be a deadpan. "You do know that nearly all of your spirits can read your mind right?"
'I had totally forgot about that.' "Yeah it appears like you did." Responding to the spirit"Well either way since you know my thoughts what do you think I should do?"
"Just talk normally and don't talk to her with the intent of getting her on your side just talk to her like you would a old friend."
"You know, your strangely knowledgeable about talking to people and understanding peoples feelings. Are you a therapist or something?"
"No you all are easy to read and while you can read other people your strangely blind to your own issues and feelings. Not only that but you also-" Cutting off the fiend I speak up "Ok enough about that I've got a person to talk to and 3 duels to prepare for."
30 Minutes Later
POV [Third Person]
Outside of a certain woman's room a dark haired teen sits near the door, who then slowly goes and knocks twice on it. The woman identified as Mai Valetine after asking who is it and getting no reponse opens the door to show that Riku Yulunger was the one who knocked.
I silence permeates the area around them as Mai tells the teen to come inside. "So what do you want?" The blonde is the first to speak. "I want to talk to you about a certain plan going forward and I'm also here to dispell some awkwardness."
"that's it? I'd assume that you'd want to drag me into something else with another game of yours but you just want me to hear you out about a plan?" The blonde reponds with a little suspicion. "Yes exactly so here me out I've got a plan that Bandit Keith betrayed me on, the plan was simple one of us gets into the castle either wins it all and faces Pegasus or loses and makes a distraction to take care of his security and the other attacks Pegasus before he can do anything about it."
The blonde immediately reponds. "No that plan has all sorts of holes, I mean Pegasus is the creator of the biggest game in the world he's probably got all sorts of security in the place let alone the security around him."
"If you'd let me finish. That's why I'm changing it I'll use the one time where Pegasus is defenseless which is the final game for the title of King Of Games and by using that I'll force him into a game he can't refuse."
The blonde once again eye's the teen suspiously. "How are you going to make him bet everything on one game. The only way that would happen is if you've got some serious dirt on him."
"Again let me finish, I'll use his obsession with Duel Monsters and Millennium Items to give him a offer he can't refuse. Your a good example of this I used my good cards and money to get you to give me 10 starchips and even if it didn't work exactly as planned it still worked."
"Fine then I have two questions for you what are Millennium Items and why do you think that I'll help you and what would you have me do if I choose to help you?" The dark haired teen smirks as if he was expecting this and reponds with confidence not previously shown. "Millennium Items are ancient artifacts that basically give their users superpowers like mind control and the ability to read minds. Anyway if you help me I'll need you to-"
"What! items that give people the ability of mind control no way that doesn't exist."
"Can you please stop cutting me off and it does exist and thats the reason why Pegasus is so go at duel Monsters he has the Millennium Eye which allows him to read mind and do someother stuff including destroying a persons psyche. That's the reason I want to stop him so bad, you know what I'll just show you."

{Yay cliffhangers! I've changed up my writing style to be slightly easier to read I think? Either way this little portion will be here sometimes if I need opinions on anything, it'll be like a little Q and A}
