Chapter 36: The missing ancient artifact

In the highest office space on the tallest skyscraper in Corprean Hills, a young man kept his gaze glued to his phone. The decor in the office looked so exquisite that many designers would have loved to learn from the person who put it together. 

The blend of black, red, and white colors made the room feel more homely and appealing. 

The whole place felt so therapeutic for anyone who needed to calm his head, but not the employees who never had the luxury to take a second look at what was in the room. After all, they didn't know what could trigger the boss at any point in time. 

Meanwhile, the person seated behind the table didn't look calm at all. At a glance one could tell that he was rather agitated- a sharp contrast to the effect the room was supposed to have on him.

Tyler lay down lazily in his chair, waiting for the phone to ring. He had texted his fiancee so many times, but she wasn't responsive.
