Chapter 10: 10. System panel
Seraphina knew this world judged people based on their levels but it was still disheartening to see the ability like concealment lying in dust due to the prejudice of this world.
"It is a great ability. I am jealous of grandpa. I wish it could become mine."
As this thought came in her mind, her ability that she was born with assimilation, worked due to her thoughts and Seraphina could feel that Old Jack's ability was being collected in her.
She would have this ability. This knowledge shocked Seraphina as she could not believe that with just one thought she could get the ability of others.
"Grandpa, can I see your ability again? It was amazing."
Seraphina wanted to know if her ability of assimilation would cause harm to grandpa Jack.
She needed to confirm whether the ability was being copied or stripped off from old Jack.
Old Jack was happy to see her interested in his power. It has been a long time since people were interested in him.
"Sure! Look carefully."
Old Jack displayed his ability once again and Seraphina sighed in relief.
It was confirmed that the ability was just being copied and nothing would go wrong with old Jack.
"Have you seen this? I have concealed the door."
"But grandpa, if you keep concealing the dungeon, would it not become the case of supersaturation?"
Supersaturation was the case in which the monsters in the dungeon would be overpopulated and come out of the dungeon and cause havoc outside.
"Don't worry about this. It is a F grade dungeon and mostly slime and insects are present in it. I can deal with them if monsters come out to harm people. I left this aside to train people like you and as for the D grade dungeon if supersaturation occurs I will request for help. The Federation would not ignore the dungeon outbreak."
"So this is it."
"Enough of the chit chat . It is your first time entering the dungeon so I will tell you what will happen. A panel will appear after you enter the dungeon just like a game. It will be like an assistant, communication device, forum for information and also contains a shop for materials."
Seraphina was in awe and remembered reading about something like this in her previous life.
"What else?"
"There is also a ranking board of ability users and it is determined by this system panel. You can decide whether to reveal your identity or be an anonymous user. The system panel will be with you throughout. No one knows why this panel appeared after entering the Dungeon but it can't be denied that it is a boon for hunter's. So be careful after entering the dungeon."
"Yes, I will be cautious." Seraphina promised but once again asked a question that was irritating her.
" Grandpa, if people clear out dungeons then why do they still exist? It's been like centuries since dungeons are still present in this world."
Old Jack was baffled and thought about this problem.
"Hmm, I don't know about this but after clearing the dungeon it doesn't disappear. It restarts again after throwing everyone out. No one can enter the dungeons for a few months until it starts again."
Seraphina was once again amazed by this world and was even more cautious after listening to old Jack.
"So why don't you come with me? It would be helpful if someone with experience came with me."
"I can't go inside. This dungeon has an age limitation and only people below twenty can enter inside."
Seraphina was stunned. She never thought about this possibility.
"Dungeons also have age limitations? Why don't you allow other classmates from the school to enter the dungeon?"
Seraphina was once again suspicious of old Jack's action. Why was he helping her?
Old Jack could see the distrust in her eyes.
"It's not what you think so stop thinking about useless things. With your guaranteed A level, you will be safer inside the dungeon if you are careful but the kids from this planet are not skilled enough to protect themselves inside the Dungeon. I don't want to shed unnecessary blood."
Old Jack gave his reasons and it was up to her to believe him or not.
"If you trust me or rather trust yourself then go inside otherwise I will take you back. It is your choice."
Seraphina knew that everything depends on her and after entering the Dungeon she would be responsible for her own life. She was not scared of losing her life but the sudden help from a stranger was baffling her.
In her previous life and from Seraphina's memories she knew that no one gives anything unconditionally so she was doubtful of his intentions.
Seraphina knew she would not die as her true level was enough to clear the dungeon. It was all due to the mentality of being a normal person. Seraphina has not completely accepted her reality of being an S class mage.
"Fine, I will go."
Seraphina was fully prepared and after assimilating the power of concealment from old Jack she was even more secure.
After all, old Jack was limited by his D level strength but she was not. Her assimilation ability was top class although she has never tested the level but she was sure about the concealment ability copied from old Jack was more powerful and higher level than him.
Old Jack was happy that Seraphina trusted him and took the right steps towards her future.
Poor old man misinterpreted her agreement as she was already sure of her safety before entering the Dungeon.
"I pray that you return safely."
Seraphina nodded and took her first step towards conquering the dungeon.
"Wait for me, old Gramps."

The sight that greeted Seraphina after entering the dungeon was amazing. It was not dirty and didn't have piles of dirt. The scenery was pleasant for her to believe that it was a dungeon that could harvest life of humans.
Amidst all these pleasant scenario, Seraphina remembered her goal and was not bewildered due to the beauty of this place.
She likes pleasant and beautiful things but was not foolish enough to indulge in them and forget about reality.
" It would not hurt my eyes."
Seraphina was fed up during the past two months as she only practised combat tactics and could only see dull and gloomy places.
This planet was similar to boring and dull storage rooms where people barely survive.
"Huh, there is no panel."
As informed by old Jack, Seraphina didn't come in contact with any system panel that would give detailed analysis about her abilities and identity.
Seraphina decided to use her abilities and first concealed her aura by using her new ability.
"It is easy to use."
Seraphina wasn't aware that the things she thought were easy to do were extremely difficult for others to do and execute in real life.
It was all possible due to her excellent ability of assimilation but due to her being an exceptional talent of magic.
In the past, her body was able to practise only dark magic but after getting a new life she was able to possess the white magic that Angelo's were proud off and scolded her for not having any; they questioned her legitimacy because of the absence of white magic in her body.
Seraphina also had the magical eyes that were able to help her in many situations. Although she was not aware about the exact abilities of her eyes, she knew they were powerful enough to be feared by the world.
These eyes along with white magic were a kind of special reward for completing her mission in the next ten years.
"Huh! What the hell?!"
Seraphina was shocked after using her eyes. Everything that was pleasant and serene was completely false. It was an illusion.
This place was covered in filthy and all those slimes and their dirty habit were creating even more disgusting effect for her sight.
"This damn insect!"
"Dark fire!!"
Seraphina used her dark magic after the wait of two months and completely annihilated those F- level slimes by dark fire.
It was a new chant that she learned on her own by using dark magic. As one of the destructive power present in this world, dark magic has strong abilities but due to lack of knowledge on this garbage planet, Seraphina wasn't able to learn the applications of magic.
Everything she did in the past two months was using her imagination and magical eyes to control her magical ability.
During the day she learned physical combat and exercised to her heart's content whereas at night time she practised magic control.
The little white mana stone in her heart has reached the size of black mana stone. She was waiting to combine them together so that she could become the body of light and dark.
Afterall two extreme magic powers were clashing in her body with opposite effect.
It was harmful and could even lead to her death.
So, she had learned basic chants by using her imagination and honing her magic control.
As she killed the last minion, Seraphina was bathed with brilliant light and the long awaited system panel appeared in front of her eyes.

The panel gave her complete information regarding her stats and abilities and she didn't need any other human intervention to know the exact level of her abilities.
Seraphina was happy to know about her level but also doubtful of this system that has the ability to know everything about the people entering the dungeon with just a scan.
"It certainly is helpful but what is the purpose behind the dungeon and this system panel?"
