Ethan shielded Katherine behind him, his expression tense as he quickly replayed his plan in his mind, trying to figure out where it had gone wrong.

He had arranged for Salvatore to send some guys to threaten Katherine, planning to swoop in and play the hero.

But why were there two groups?

And these groups didn't even know each other.

As the standoff continued, Katherine whispered in Ethan's ear, "Don't try to be a hero, I've already called the cops."
