"Mom, did you hurt your foot?" Ryan asked, his expression complex as he noticed his mother's slightly sweaty hair and her evasive gaze.

He remembered that when she had pushed Ethan away earlier, she was wearing stockings, but now she was barefoot in high heels.

"Oh, I just lost my balance going upstairs," Sofia said, casually tying up her hair and instinctively covering her eyes. "I went for a walk downstairs and got a bit sweaty."
