Chapter 63: Rare Silver

With the genial smile of an elder, Silas took out an ornate wooden box from his pocket. He beckoned to the younger generation as if he was dealing with small children waiting for presents on Christmas morning. 

With a little flair, he opened the box to reveal delicate charm bracelets. The four bracelets were identical with three dangling ornaments in the shape of a crescent moon, the sun, and a star. Despite the lack of customisation, they were beautiful.

"Uncle has not visited you for a while now, so I did not forget to bring you some gifts. Of course, that includes you, young Leila," Silas said. "These bracelets are made of platinum with a plating of rare silver. I have also been made to believe a mysterious priest blessed them, but I would take that with a grain of salt."

Leila tried to keep calm, but her heart rate accelerated a little. She recognised the rare silver used in the plating of the platinum bracelets.
