Chapter 43: Chapter 41

The scene at the Japanese Hunters Association headquarters was full of skepticism . Matsumoto Shigeo, head of the Association, paced nervously as he awaited the arrival of the hunters sent by Kade. Around him, the top hunters and officials whispered among themselves, unsure of what to expect.

"They say Kade's power is beyond anything we've seen," one hunter murmured.

"Yes, but can we trust those he sends?" another responded, skepticism evident in his tone.

The murmurs ceased abruptly as the doors to the headquarters swung open. In strode Go Gunhee, Goto Ryuji, and Cha Hae-In, their presence immediately gathered all their attention.

The air seemed to thrum with the intensity of their mana, a palpable force that sent shivers down the spines of those present.

Matsumoto stepped forward, his eyes opening widely as he assessed the newcomers. "G-Gotto and G-Gunhee…?"

He was shocked seeing their very own hunter walking with Go Gunhee and a hunter knows as Cha Hae-In.

Goto Ryuji's gaze landed on his previous boss."We're here to handle the dungeons. Show us where we're needed."

Despite his initial skepticism, Matsumoto couldn't deny the overwhelming power emanating from the trio. He was particularly taken aback by Gotto's tone "Ryuji? You're with Kade now?"

He heard how of Kade's ability to control others so he wasn't shock about that, what he's puzzled by is the fact Kade sent Gotto Ryuji, their greatest asset not too long ago.

" You're with Kade now, Gotto?"

Goto's eyes flashed with anger at the familiar address, he felt his pride was insulted. "Put respect on my name, I do not serve you Matsumoto"

Matsumoto raised his hands in a placating gesture. "My apologies, Gotto. We're just surprised. We didn't expect to see you here."

Another official, taken aback by Matsumoto's words, stepped forward. "Why would someone of your caliber serve under Kade? Isn't he just another power-hungry tyrant?"

Goto's expression darkened dangerouslyas his mana flared in response. "Watch your tongue," he growled. "Any disrespect to the leader will not be tolerated"

The atmosphere grew thick with tension as the Japanese hunters felt the crushing weight of Goto's power. Matsumoto quickly intervened, sensing the danger. "Enough! We're here to collaborate, not to fight among ourselves."

Go Gunhee stepped forward, placing a calming hand on Gotto's shoulder. "Ryuji, control yourself. We are guests here, and we must conduct ourselves with honor. Our master would not appreciate tainting his image because of mere words"

Goto took a deep breath, reigning in his anger with visible effort. "You're right. My apologies."

Matsumoto nodded, relief evident in his expression. "Thank you, Gunhee. We need your help to clear the S-rank dungeons that have appeared across Japan. The situation is dire, and we can't handle it alone because…well you know why"

Cha Hae-In, who had remained silent until now, spoke up. "We will take care of it. Lead us to the dungeons."

The Japanese hunters guided the trio to the first dungeon site, a massive rift teeming with malevolent energy. The sheer size and power of the dungeon were intimidating, but the three hunters from Korea appeared unfazed.

As they prepared to enter, Matsumoto couldn't help but ask, "Gunhee, please don't take offence to what I'm about to say, but you're going in the dungeon as well? Aren't we past our primes to be joining dungeon raids now?"

Hearing this Gunhee couldn't help but smiled, he might be the one who changed the most despite not changing personality.

His thirst to enter the battle again was not to be underestimated, he might be conservative but when the topic is battling inside the dungeon, he was the most excited one.

Go Gunhee glanced at Matsumoto, a mixture of pride and respect in his eyes. "Serving Kade is serving the strongest. He has given us power beyond what you can comprehend. We are his instruments, his tools and his soldiers"

Hearing this, Matsumoto couldn't help but ask, "What is it like, serving under Kade?"

Gunhee didn't even turned to answer him this time, "don't get your hopes up Matsumoto, to serve him is to give up everything you've done up til now"

With that, the trio stepped into the dungeon, their forms disappearing into the gate.

Meanwhile in Korea, the air was thick with anticipation as three of Kade's guild membersl Jinchul, Baek Yoonho, and Choi Jong-In prepared to lead their respective teams into the newly appeared S-rank dungeons. Each leader stood at the head of a formidable force, comprising hundreds of S-rank and A-rank hunters alike.

The number of hunters wasn't needed as each of them is enough to clear the dungeon themselves, it was all for show, to show their might to the world.

Each crew has a member which their sole purpose is to capture the whole thing so they could upload it through social media after the disaster is dealt with.

They all entered their designated dungeon, which doesn't lose in size compared to the one in Japan.

In Jinchul's side they were fighting wyverns which breath fire out of their mouth, with Baek they were fighting insects the size of a house, and in Choi's side was a nest of arachnids and venomous bugs.

The videographer film Choi as he burn all his target leaving ashes to his wake, while the rest of the hunters spread out and started slashing, punching and pulverising the enemies.

On Baek's side, it was a lot gorier as all of them specialised in meelee attack, each members was making the insects explode with their bare hands leaving blood and guts to their trail.

Lastly, on Jinchul's side, they're mostly clean with some green blood here and there, his main offense is also meelee, wearing a gloves with small blade coming out of the finger joints.

The only difference between him and Baek is that, he specialise more on agility and his durability, whereas Baek is pure physicality, making him look like a savage.

While this was all happening, Kade was looking at the empty sky, seemingly looking at someone.

"You do look familiar, I wonder if we've met before…."
