In his throne room, Kade stood amidst the glow of essence stones collected by his guild members. Each stone pulsed with mana, giving the room a magical glow. As he absorbed the energy from the stones, his aura grew darker and more potent, filling the room with an eerie, almost tangible sense of dread.
He was growing stronger and stronger in an unbelievable pace, he was condident he could taken on the monarchs now alongside his army.
While he was contemplating when to invade their very own dimension, Jinchul entered his throne room.
"Sorry to interrupt your thoughts sir, you have been invited to attend party to the States, it seems that all the top guilds around the world are attending"
Kade's eyes narrowed. "They wish to see the new ruler of Korea in person. Very well, go gather all the Chaos Brigade team, we'll have to show off a bit"
Jinchul nodded and left the room, Chaos Brigade consist of his 20 strongest guild member, Jinchul himself is part of it, ranking last making him the weakest of the team.
Two days later
The summit was held in New York City, a grand event set in one of the tallest skyscrapers, the height symbolizing the power and influence of the guilds gathered.
The whole place was packed with S ranks hunter and all the National Ranker, and some important members of the US government.
They were all talking to each other with hopes of building connections, but a single person seated on the sofa was isolated, all the hunters seems to be avoiding him.
He was Thomas Andre, the Guild Master of Scavengers Guild, he didn't like interacting with people unless he's gaining something from them.
"Laura, how long before that person arrive?" He asked his assistant who stood by his side, she was a good looking blonde lady.
"He should be here anytime soon, sir" they were talking about none other than Kade, he was the sole reason they attended this gathering.
As the crowd continued their socialising, the door of the room opened, normally no one would even pay attention, but as soon as the door open the whole crowd turned silent.
No, it was not that they chose to stay silent, it's their body trembling in in fear as Kade and his party entered the room, some of them couldn't take it and knelt down as blood starts coming out of their eyes.
Thomas Andre was no exception, his seated position changed to that of barely being able to stand up, it's as if his own body did not want to look at Kade's direction.
The weirdest thing is, Kade's aura wasn't leaking out, it was his subordinates that's releasing the suffocating magic power.
"Now now, stop scaring them we're the guest here" Kade said as if the whole thing wasn't his plan, but all the hunters present breath a sigh of relief once the leaking magic power disappeared.
Kade walked further into the room, his presence gathering all the attention. He was flanked by the Chaos Brigade, each member an imposing figure radiating power. Kade's eyes scanned the room, his gaze landing on Thomas Andre, who was now standing with visible effort.
With a friendly, but not so friendly smile, Kade approached him. "Thomas Andre, I presume?" he said, his tone was friendly but Andre could tell there was a feeling of superiority.
Thomas managed a nod. "Kade. You've certainly made an impression."
Kade's smile widened. "I aim to please. Or terrify. Depends on the company."
Thomas straightened, regaining some of his composure. "You have a lot of people here worried. They don't know what to expect from you."
"And you?" Kade asked, his tone almost playful. "Are you worried, Thomas?"
Thomas' eyes hardened. "I'm cautious. There's a difference."
"Of course," Kade said, turning his gaze to the rest of the room. "Everyone here is so… cautious. It's almost disappointing."
The crowd remained silent, but they grind their teeth as they felt the insult towards them, allthough one hunter seems to be nonchalant about the situation despite the rough breathing due to the oppressive aura Kade's party was releasing.
Christopher Reed, one of the strongest hunter in america, rivaling Thomas Andre. If the two fought, it would be catastrophic but no one knows who would win.
Kade's eyes finally settled on Laura, who stepped forward with a calm demeanor that belied the fear in the room.
"Welcome, sir Kade," she said. "My name is Laura, Scavenger's guild secretary, we've gathered here today to discuss the future of our world, especially in light of the recent changes. We hope to find a way to coexist peacefully."
Kade chuckled. "Peacefully? That's a nice thought. But let's be honest, Miss Laura. Everyone here is just trying to figure out how to deal with the new power dynamics"
Hearing this, the director of Federal Bureau of Hunters in America couldn't help but sweat even more, David Brennon was the one helping the Korea's Hunter Association.
So he knew when they fell as he couldn't contact them anymore, what surprised him even more was Chairman Go Gunhee standing behind Kade as they walked in.
Laura's expression remained steady as he exchanged conversation with Kade. "Perhaps. But it's important we try. For the sake of humanity."
Kade's smile faded slightly, replaced by a look of contemplation. "Humanity… yes, I suppose that's something to consider."
Kade noticed one of the change within him, that is his humanity. It seems that all the humam within him is gone, replace by the power he now posses.
As the conversation continues om, David approached them and joined in, touching on alliances, territorial boundaries, and the rising threat of new dungeons, especially the new dungeon that appeared in Washington.
The dungeon was ranked S by measuring the magic that was coming out of the dungeon gate.
'So they started moving huh, this is sooner than I thought' Kade thought as he think of the Monarchs. He knew their goals and ways and why the dungeons started appearing on earth.
'The battlefield of the war won't be here on earth, it'll be your very own world which is where you will all die' with that last thought in mind, Kade walked out feeling that he was done dealing with all this nonsense.
