Chapter 67: BIRTHDAY PARTY

I swallowed hard, trying my best to surpress the uneasiness that formed in my chest. My throat became dry. I wanted to say something, anything, but I was rendered momentarily speechless. All I could do was gape at Alexander as I played his confession in my head over and over again.

Surely, I knew what the bond between us made us feel - the longing, the constant, maddening pull that gnawed at my very soul, the way our wolves screamed for one another every time we were apart. But hearing Alexander openly express those feelings to me shook something loose inside of me. It made it nearly impossible to control the burning ache that had already been festering inside of me.
