Chapter 38: Connor McKay

"Where is the person assigned to pick us up, Louis?"

At the busy airport, Lisa kept looking left and right to find the person appointed to pick them up back to headquarters. Louis and Alexa walked behind her, with Louis' hands helping Alexa to support her body, which was exhausted from the long journey she had just gone through.

"Ah, there they are."

Alexa followed Lisa's line of sight and saw a pair of men and women standing at the pick-up point wearing collared t-shirts and field trousers as clothing. Both of them had trained muscles with deep gazes when they were paying attention to something, a sign that they were indeed trained military men.

"Here."

The man immediately gave a small wave when his eyes caught the figures of Lisa and Louis walking towards them. The woman smiled stiffly when her eyes instead noticed Alexa, who was a little awkward when she saw them.

"Glad you're finally back, Captain."
