Chapter 228: Spoiling His Wife

Silk robes and the early morning sun. Hot tea with honey and a little bit of porridge. 

Leonor spent quite a while sitting on a cushioned stool in the bathroom while Beth fussed over her appearance. 

A maid from the hotel offered to feed Leonor her breakfast while she was occupied with getting ready to go to the palace, but Desmond soon appeared, insisting on taking that job himself. His appearance was enough to send the maid away quickly but Leonor thought her husband looked dashing. 

He wore a fitted dark green jacket that signified Montclair's forests they presided over together. Along his the right side of his chest were rows of medals, though the gold one with the Castillian Royal Family's crest stood out the most signifying his loyalty to the king. Underneath the jacket was a crisp high-collar white shirt clasped at his neck by a silver insignia that contained their house's sigil.
