Chapter 106: One Hour

Glien wasn't wrong. The third test was all about Magic Control. It was during that test that Alvin understood why the Ventis Sect prohibits leveling for the first two years. Alvin had been under Linfel's care and a hellish training to get used to Magic Control, above all, he had Linfel's clean energy that no doubt accelerated the process many times.

Watching people trying to do the fine management of their Magic Energy and comparing it to what he could do now seemed like two completely different leagues. One part of the third test was very similar to Linfel's one, where the contestants had to hit the targets precisely. Alvin watched that, and sometimes, he wondered how he would have fared in it had he not met Linfel.

"Linfel..." out of curiosity, Alvin asked. "How do they compare to me when we met?"
