Connor just smiled and put his arm over Alvin's shoulders. "Stop the bullshit. It is not like I'm going there to die, you know? Don't say things that will jinx it."

"Very well," Alvin smiled and didn't persist.

A few minutes later, Connor took another Airship with many other Maguses, including some from the Academy. Alvin looked around and could see that even more of the Academy's Maguses and Familiars were entering other Airships with the soldiers and their Familiars.
