Chapter 3: Nexus's and His Two Sisters

Karlus became utterly speechless, as if someone bit his tongue. He has been prepared for many things in his life, even death. However, never did he imagine himself meeting the God of Creation, Nexus.
"Uhm…" Karlus struggled to form a word. Who would have thought that an emperor like him would be speechless under such circumstances?
When Nexus noticed it, he chuckled softly. Truth be told, he was happy to see Karlus in the afterlife. He put the effort into meeting him personally that he even fooled his sisters that he would only go out.
That was such a big deal as he rarely fools his sisters. He only does it in such important matters that really need it.
"You can stay quiet if you want, noble man. However, just make sure to answer my question when I ask one." Nexus assured Karlus about it.
"I understand." Karlus simply answered, followed by a short nod. He pressed his lips together before looking at Nexus with curious eyes.
There were a lot of questions encircling his mind right now. Yet, his main concern was why the God Nexus was here, and not his dear Elizabeth.
It has been bothering him for so long. Should he ask about it?
"I know that you have suffered a lot. Bound by your role as the emperor of the Arcanis Empire, you were denied the simple joys of life. However, thou shall not worry…" As if it was a formal event, Nexus formally said the words in a monotonous tone.
"I, Nexus, the God of Creation, will personally reward you for your great service." Nexus, who was proudly standing, lightly hit his chest in a confident manner.
It would be his first time to reward a certain man for his great service to the people and the land.
In his millennium of existence, he had never seen such a man like Karlus, who stayed true to himself and the people even after his years in power. Not once did Karlus show a side of evilness or greediness.
"And now, as you stand before me, allow me to present my gifts to you." As if he was a kid, Nexus's eyes sparkled in excitement as he took a step backward, creating a distance between him and Karlus.
Nexus breathed deeply. He couldn't contain the excitement he was feeling. He slightly raised his right hand and as he opened his palm, multiple balls of transparent bubbles danced in the air.

"So for your first rew—"
"BROTHERRRR!"
Before Nexus could continue what he was planning to do, he was greeted by sudden loud noises on the side. There, two ladies with long pink hair reaching their waist showed up behind Nexus.
The two ladies were also wearing white robes with flowing fabric. It covered their whole body completely, except their slender arms, enabling them to move freely.
Karlus immediately noticed the resemblance of the three people before him. With that, a hunch formed in his head.
The two ladies must be the sisters of Nexus. If he could remember it correctly, then their names must be Nirvana and Nania.
It was said at the beginning of time, Nexus, Nirvana, and Niana were the first living things to descend into the universe. They were blessed by an unknown power, making them have the ability to create and wield things as they like.
The three of them felt lonely in the universe. Without a place to live, nor a thing to do, they created Zenerthia, the world that they were in. After the world was done, they shared their blessings and created animals.
However, even after that, they still felt that there was something missing. Thus, with the lead of Nexus, they created human beings from their breath. They showered the people with all the things they needed, from resources to freedom.
"Haha… why are you two here?" Nexus's eyes widened in shock. He quickly took back his hands and hid it behind his back. He awkwardly laughed before taking a step to the side, moving away.
"Aren't we supposed to ask you that question, dear brother?" Nirvana, the oldest among the three, questioned with authority in her voice. She had long hair, and her facial features seemed more mature and defined compared to the two.
"Uhmm…" As if a cat bit his tongue, Nexus couldn't answer. Especially when his two sisters were staring at him as if there was fire of fury in their eyes.
How come he was easily found?
"So care to explain, Brother?" Nania, the youngest among the three of them, uttered. Even though she had a sweet smile on her face, her eyes looked as if it was judging Nexus's whole personality.
Trying to find a way out, Nexus's eyes quickly shifted to the side. "It's because of him!" he exclaimed out loud, before disappearing in the air and appearing beside Karlus.
"Help me, man," Nexus uttered in a faint voice, almost a whisper. "I promise I'll do you good." he continued before shifting his eyes back in front.
"The great emperor of Arcanis had just ascended in the afterlife. I deeply regret fooling you two, but I just couldn't miss the opportunity to personally meet this legend." Nexus said the words out loud, filled with confidence.
"In fact, I was asking him tales of his journey in the mortal realm. He told me a lot of his stories…" Nexus slowly gazed at the side and gave Karlus a knowing look. "Right?"
"Yes," Karlus nodded before smiling. He didn't know that he could like this in front of a higher being.
"Don't fool us you two," Nirvana rolled her eyes. It was obvious that the two were lying in front of her face. She wondered if her brother had lost his mind. How can he even answer that when it hasn't been long since he left their kingdom?
"Come on. Answer me truthfully, Nexus." Nirvana continued before taking another step. Her confidence and commanding aura was radiating at the way she moved. There was an authority there.
Because of that, Karlus understood that Nexus was scared of his sisters by the way he acted. It was funny looking at them.
Nexus scratched the back of his head. It seemed that he could no longer keep his lie up. He took a deep breath and left Karlus on his own to go near Nirvana.
"I know that we agreed to never interfere with our creation's life. However, I truly salute this young lad before us. Thus, I want to give him my blessing…
