Chapter 3: Night investigation.
( Ena's POV )
Hearing what Io said I turned around and stared at her, she put on a small smile and I was wondering if she saw me that day when Ryuji and I became friends.
Io: Don't you remember the first time we saw each other?
I was even more confused by what she said next because I was pretty sure this was the first time we talked but before I could ask her what she meant, I heard a loud sound coming from a dark alley, without hesitation I stood in front of Io and illuminated the place with the flashlight on my phone, Luckily the sound was caused by a stray dog that ran shortly after I illuminated it.
Ena: Don't worry, it's just a dog.
Io was squeezing my arm tightly and when she saw that there was no danger she let go of me and blushed a little, After that we rushed to her house and after leaving Io I couldn't stop thinking about what she said about having met her before but I couldn't remember anything.
When I returned home I stayed up until midnight, then I started the mysterious app, first a strange symbol that looked like a summoning circle appeared, and after a few moments my vision was dark, Then I heard six loud bells and then I woke up suddenly.
I was confused and again I tried to remember what happened the night before but that was no use, I checked my phone to see if the app was still there, and sure enough, it was.
I wanted to investigate more about what had happened but again that had to wait because I had to go to school, Nothing interesting happened there until lunchtime, when we went to the dining room I told Ryuji about my strange experience the other night.
Ryuji: That's weird man, you can't remember what you did either.
Ena: Obviously that's not a coincidence.
Ann: What are you guys talking about?
While we were talking Ann, and Io appeared and sat down casually next to us.
Ena: well, I don't know if you would be interested in that.
Ann: Try me.
Ann looked quite curious so I proceeded to tell her what I had read about the app online, and about Ryuji and I's experiences, when I finished the girls looked a little worried.
Ann: Are you serious? That's super suspicious.
Io: yeah doesn't sound safe.
Ena: I know that, but we are not the first to use the app and there is nothing online that indicates that it is dangerous.
Ann: What about memory loss, don't you think that's something dangerous?
Ena: That's what makes it something worth investigating.
Ann: well then don't say I didn't warn you.
Ena: I will be careful.
Ann: Leaving that aside, are you guys free today?
Ryuji: I guess so, why do you ask?
Ann: Because you are going to come with us after school, as a thank you for yesterday we will treat you to a meal.
Ena: well, I will never say no to free food.

When classes ended we took the girls to our regular place, Ryuji and I ordered the usual and then we took a table.
Ryuji: Man this place is the best, you girls are going to love the food.
Ann: Do you come here a lot?
Ena: Basically, both of our mothers work late so we eat out most of the time.
Io: OH your mother should know what happened to you the other night shouldn't she?
Ena: No, she is not returning home at the moment.
Ann: Why not?
Ena: A good friend of hers suddenly fell ill, she lives alone so my mother is taking care of her for the moment.
Ann: I see, then why not Ryuji spend the night at your house?
Ena: That's a good idea but let's leave that for later, we don't know if the same thing will happen tonight.
After eating we spent some time together and we were becoming fast friends, When it got dark we escorted the girls again but when I took Io to her house I didn't return to mine, In addition to the mysterious app, I also wanted to investigate those attacks in the city.
I thought about inviting Ryuji to my night watch but in the end I decided to go alone, I had no clue where to go so I started walking towards the place where I felt that strange sensation in the air a few days ago, When I arrived at the place everything felt normal, I looked around and then decided to walk through an alley near me, y After a few moments the strange sensation returned and the more I walked the stronger it became.
At one point breathing became a little difficult, something told me that I shouldn't be here but I had gone too far to come back, and when the strange sensation reached its peak I came across a strange scene, A beautiful girl with short blonde hair and blue eyes was standing motionless and in front of her was a strange shadowy horse-shaped creature with unnatural glowing red eyes.
The shadowy creature prepared to attack the girl so I jumped to push her out of danger, the creature hit a wall but it recovered quickly and that turned its attention to me.
Ena: Get out of here, I'm going to distract it!
I told the girl to run but she was too scared to move, Picking her up and running away didn't seem to be an option so it seemed I had to face this situation head-on, I think Io was right about me.
Before attacking again, the creature's eyes emitted a bright light and I had trouble moving, I guess this is what happened to this girl, The creature made another run but I was able to shake off the effects of its gaze and I sidestepped its attack.
Ena: I'm not going to make it that easy for you, friend!
Quickly I began to move my gaze all around the place and I drew up a crude plan of attack.
