Chapter 71: Wu Xian Jr.? 2
Helian Xun and I clashed, and I was instantly overwhelmed and sent rocketing backward with heavy injuries. Helian Xun didn't waste time, as her tail shot forward like a spear, stabbing through my chest.
I coughed up a mouthful of blood, I quickly used the reverse cursed technique on my injuries, turning them back to a positive. With my injuries gone, I also disappeared, reappearing elsewhere without Helian Xun's tail in my chest.
"You're stronger than me... this makes me wonder what your background is all about," I said while channeling Red into my body. With that, I began to glow red. This was red mode.
I shot forward and clashed with Helian Xun, and this time I wasn't overwhelmed. With the power to push everything, fused with my overwhelming strength, I had moved so fast that I was moving backward in time, which only increased my attack power at such crazy levels of speed.
Helian Xun still new to this level of speed of course moved to clash with me too early. Her eyes widened as my fist slammed into her stomach, then her neck, followed by the eye, head, wings, and so on. This sounded like it took time, but each attack landed before the last, and each carried the weight of an infinite number of kicks, all followed with golden flashes.
Helian Xun was swallowed in injuries, unable to withstand these attacks. She roared in pain while trying her best to quickly use her power of slaughter to keep up with me. She had to hurry as her pressure points were being hit, although she could hold off the effect, with each pressure point hit, the weaker she was growing.
"Looks like you're going to lose, you must be curious about Golden Flash. The opposite of purple is yellow and yellow refined just a bit is golden. I have gone back to refine my energy control to greater infinities... well, down to 0D. meaning, right now I'm only using the energy of scale of the 0D, infinitely close to nothing." I said with a smile.
"So, I created a new flash. Golden Flash, which boosts my attack power not by 7.5 like how purple did, but a whole new greater infinity. The very instant before our attack, when there is only the scale of 0D between us, I unleash my energy to inflict the maximum damage... this is the peak of energy control." I said shocking Helian Xun.
"Go to Hell!" Helian Xun said channeling all of her power of slaughter to explode outwards, forcing me to move to save the 99 heavens, she took the chance to attack me with a grin... and shockingly, she was moving backward in time this time.
I wasn't too bothered and kept fighting her with a smile. A smile that said I was sure I would win, which greatly annoyed her.
"WHAT WITH THAT SMILE!"She roared angrily, aiming for the head. I moved, clashing with each attack that moved backward in time. We were moving backward and backward in time, our past selves just disappearing before they could even be seen as us.
I was back to being overwhelmed, and even with Golden Flash, I was no match for her power of slaughter. After all, she was currently a Loose Immortal, she was extremely powerful with that huge gap in cultivation, and that was even more so when she already created her Dao heart and was transforming her law of slaughter into a Dao.
"It's my birthright to stand at the peak of that mountain, and it's my birthright never to lose a battle... for I Wu Xian, alone am the honored one," I said while I stopped blocking, and just stood there. Helian Xun's attack shot forward, but her dragon tail found itself unable to reach me. Helian Xun was confused, not knowing what happened.
"I was using energy down to the 0D scale, what would happen if I use it at the 1D scale, 2D scale, 3D Scale, or a Scale that Rivals those of the same cultivation as myself?" I asked causing Helian Xun's pupils to shrink at the realization. But upon closer look, she realized I was using the same amount of energy, and was instead infusing my willpower into my attack.
"You're..." She didn't know what to say, she couldn't kill my willpower, it was a hard counter to her power of slaughter.
"Look at you, already admitting defeat. You can't kill my willpower? So why fight me at the start? Now that you realize I had never truly gone all out against you and everyone else since I always hold back thanks to my energy control, what's the point of fighting me?" I asked lightly, Helian Xun froze, her intent for slaughter growing weaker.
"You lost Helian Xun... but thats not a bad thing. Being the best sounds fun, but it's boring. Go ahead, enjoy yourself knowing you have equals and those you can speak equally with... for thats a beautiful thing. a wonderful thing." I said softly, to which Helian Xun hesitated while looking into my beautiful blue eyes, which seemed to reflect the endless gap between them... and she rejected that.
"Don't talk down to me. YOU FUCKING BITCH, I WILL KILL YOU!" She screamed in rage, if it was anyone else who said those words, she would have taken it... but me? It felt like I was mocking her, showing the gap between the two of them. How she could only live amongst the ants, and be happy she could even look at that peak.
She will be the strongest, gender didn't matter. She would crush all males and females in her path. She let out a roar, pushing out everything in her system. But a shocking scene followed, as the world suddenly froze.
This wasn't me using Infinity, no... this was Xia Qingyue. Both me and Helain Xun looked over towards Xia Qingyue who had appeared, floating in the sky like an ice goddess.
"You have grown strong, to think you realized the mindset best suited the power before me... I'm ashamed." I said with a smile, to which Xia Qingyue glared at me, before looking towards Helian Xun.
"I came to you for help to track him down, not this nonsense." Xia Qingyue said coldly. Xia Qingyue's strength was an interesting thing if you stepped back and tried to study it. The power to just have anything pause wasn't a strength, but more like what she couldn't pause and what she could pause.
Being my disciple, Wu Yun helped her bring out her full potential, leading to the freak of nature standing before us. Was she stronger than me? I highly doubt it, but I was sure a fight between her and me, might force me to start using what others would consider a normal amount of energy. Xia Qingyue had ignored everything, purely focusing on the power to freeze things.
"You wanted to track me down, should I have my hopes up?" I asked with a smile, to which Xia Qingyue just glared at me.
"It's Limitless duty to have information on everyone and everything, even you." She said emotionlessly, to which I nodded lightly.
"So, do you want to know what pair of underwear I have on as well? I'm pretty sure that falls under everything... right?" I asked annoying Xia Qingyue, who ignored me.
"How are you so strong?" Helian Xun asked through gritted teeth, unwilling to accept the fact Xia Qingyue was stronger than her.
"Unlike you, I can accept my flaws and seek knowledge from others. Doing something on your own would one day lead you down a path of no return. You're a genius, but you will never bring out that potential of yours so long as that pride remains unshakable." Xia Qingyue said calmly, causing Helian Xun to grit her teeth, unwilling to accept this.
"She has a point... I mean my intent for slaughter is stronger than yours." I said with a smile, confusing Helian Xun. She looked towards me, but as soon as my intent to slaughter spilled out, everything within its path returned to nothingness. The heavens were unable to hold this, forcing me to not dare spread my intent out too much.
"Intent to slaughter is linked with the state of mind. Stuff like willpower..." I was quickly cut off by Helian Xun's scream.
"You mean to tell me, in all of our fights, you could have easily won?" She screamed, to which I nodded in confusion.
"Of course, have you ever seen me use 100% of my energy, or even use my willpower as a weapon outside of using it to boost my attack power? I hold back against everyone, or else it would be all boring." I said lightly, causing Helian Xun's eye to twitch nonstop, not sure what to think right now.
"I never even use my willpower to the fullest..." I said while infusing all of my willpower into my fist, but my fist exploded, unable to withstand the full might of my willpower.
"I can't even fully control my willpower, the most I can do with my willpower is what I have shown. To be the strongest, you need the willpower of the strongest. I have gone through countless suffering, and every breakthrough I go through is like hell. In every dream I have, I push my mental limits further and further... I have no Dao heart, but my false Dao heart is proof of my Limitless future." I said lightly, while my hand grew back, although it was slow...
She glared at me and Xia Qingyue before she let out a cry and just disappeared. I was left there in confusion, as I was sure everyone knew I liked holding back... I mean, when was the last time I made use of a domain, along with all of my abilities?
"... are you going to stay here until you leave this heaven?" Xia Qingyue asked lightly, I calmly turned and walked towards the Grand Star Village,
"Yeah, thanks for being a friend," I said lightly.
"Who said I stopped being your friend?" She asked, causing me to stop in my footsteps to look at her in confusion. Xia Qingyue sighed softly, she took a moment, but soon spoke.
"Yes, I'm extremely angry and disappointed in the way you handle Qin Kexin... but I know you well enough, and I can see your growth." She said lightly.
"You don't have to shut yourself away from society, we can move past this bump." She said while holding out her palm towards me.
"I'm over that... I just came to realize sometimes, you shouldn't force an elephant inside a house. I'm like a giant walking amongst humans, the mistakes I can make could have huge effects on those around me, good and bad." I said lightly
"I'm a freak of nature, a monster... those like me only bring chaos everywhere I go. I guess I realize those like me shouldn't walk around showing off their capability without knowing the impact their actions hold on others." I said lightly, stunning Xia Qingyue.
"Thanks for still seeing me as a friend, come by and visit from time to time," I said with a smile, before putting my blindfold on, and walking off towards the village.
Xia Qingyue looked at my back, she reached out, wanting to say something, but no words left her mouth. She turned to leave, but realized one thing... did she have a place she belonged? She was lucky as she had her family whom she loved deeply... but was that everything she wanted?
She looked back towards me, honestly, she had planned to remain single, and never to marry. But seeing my change... she wasn't sure if, in the future, she would look back to this moment and have some regrets.
