Chapter 53: Harrowing Danger

A mere few seconds later, Leroy had already covered the entire distance between him and the Cockatrices, appearing merely a few meters away from Them.

Using the same technique as before, he neared the first Cockatrice with his sword staying in the same horizontal position as the last time he did the ambush.

The only thing the other Cockatrice saw was a flash of silver light reflecting from the blade edge as it passed through the Cockatrice's neck.

This time, it felt like the speed had increased even further than when he did the same maneuver last time.

It felt more efficient, more powerful, and swift.

'The strain is less on my arm this time.' Leroy thought for a split second and then turned his body as he sidestepped to appear next to three other cockatrices.

His speed had lowered however and as such the power behind it had followed suit.

The blade sliced clean through two of the monsters but got stuck halfway through the third.
