After encountering the weird bipedal creature the serpent the size of three trees stacks together in the form of a giant white serpent wandered around for its next meal.
It would've eaten the human if it showed any hostility but fortunately, it didn't, part of the reason why he also didn't eat the human was because he found the human quite amusing.
Despite his looks, he is pretty intelligent. Smart enough to have a concept of things other than survival.
Kuh… kuh… kuh… kuh…
Deep clicking sounds resounded from him. He was doing it to locate more prey to eat, one single deer wouldn't be enough after all if he wished to grow bigger.
This is something he realized just recently, that the more he eats the bigger he becomes. That is why that single deer won't be enough.
He needs something big And he knew what exactly it was. He is only around one years old and he already was 12 to 13 meters long and around 1 meter in girth.
And that was just him picking on small preys. But now he decided to upgrade his meal to premium.
He was currently in a savanna and the prey he had in mind was the perfect creature to fill his belly. Elephants.
Kuh… kuh… kuh… kuh…
His deep clicking sounds function more than as intimidation; it also helps him locate prey with echolocation.
His vibration traveled far and wide until it received a signal. The signal of his meal.
The creature's eyes sharpened, and its head turned around left towards the location of his next target.
And so with a goal and mission in mind the serpent slithered around the ground forward to the elephants.
He was big and his movement made a lot of noise, if it weren't for the stupidity of deer earlier he would've had a harder time hunting such agile and nimble creatures.
But his one year of existence taught him a lot about hunting. What matters the most for someone like him is speed, that is why he developed his speed more so than his other aspects.
But that doesn't mean he will abandon other aspects and just focus on speed, he will later on develop them when the time comes. Speed is important, but so is stealth.
His white scale also needs some revamping, it was too eye-catching and that made it harder to hunt. This was proven from time to time when his game got away because they were alerted much earlier by his porcelain like scales.
But he doesn't need to rush. After all, even a short year was enough to promote him from a twig like snake to a tree trunk.
He is confident. No, he is sure that he is far more capable. He just needed to unearth his potential.
Anyways back to the hunt. It took him just around 5 minutes to travel towards the signal, his speed reaching 100 km/h. A speed so high that it was baffling that such speed came from a thousand kilo monster.
In the distance he saw a herd of elephants; around ten elephants drinking on the river.
Seeing that the elephants were peacefully drinking from the river, it gave him an idea. Slowly with the sneakiest movement he can, he slid into the water and swam into the deepest depth to hide his white body with the murky water.
His long and white body submerged into the river until he was at the very bottom of it.
Kuh…kuh…kuh…kuh…
And with his echolocation he got the precise position of the elephants.
Under the water, he slithered. He was faster in the water but he chose not to because too much speed would disrupt the water and alert the elephants.
As of this moment, he didn't have to be fast. He just needed to be steady and stealthy. When he nears them, that's when he can be fast.
Slowly and steady, he reached them. By the time he stopped he was just meters away from the nearest elephant.
In an instant, with a burst of terrifying speed, the serpent surged from the depths. The water exploded upwards, cascading around his sleek, white body as he emerged. His massive coils cut through the water like a blade, and before the nearest elephant could react, he wrapped his muscular body around its legs.
The elephant didn't even knew what happened as the next second it felt something was wrapping itself around it.
The elephant's herd trumpeted in surprise at the sudden commotion. When the water from the splash cleared, the figure of a giant white serpent was revealed wrapping itself around the elephant.
The elephant roared in agony as it felt the snake constriction getting tighter and tighter. It pleaded for help from his fellow herdsmate but the intimidating deep clicks from the serpent froze them in fear.
Creak! Creak! Crack! Krrckk!
The serpent continued to construct until it finally crushed the elephant's bone, killing it. The herd trumpeted in fear and ran, leaving behind their fellow who fell trap to this monster's ploy.
After seeing the elephant dead in his wrap, the
Serpent felt a sense of satisfaction. This was his first big game, this sense of triumph was greater than he first ate a deer.
He succeeded in killing, now it's time for a feast. The serpent opened it's maw, revealing two strong fang alongside an arrangement of hundreds of smaller and sharp teeth, the toxic breath inside revealed itself, it seemed to melt anything it came in contact with.
The maw opened to an impossible degree until the mouth was wide enough to swallow the entire elephant.
Without even any hesitation it swallowed the elephant in a smooth motion. The toxic chemicals inside the creature's body instantly melting it down to become his nutrients for growth.
A sudden sense of drowsiness washed over him. The urge to sleep invaded his mind, and so with his belly fully he submerged back to the water to heed his body's needs.
He coiled around under the river and closed his eyes. As he sleep, his body was undergoing changes.
It was using the nutrients, minerals, and everything of the elephant and deer to improve him. A day passed and when he woke up he felt stronger, bigger, and more agile.
Previously his size was about 12 meters but with the consumption of the elephant his size grew from 12 meters to 14 meters. This brought joy to the serpent as one meal from such creature gave him enormous gains.
This made him more greedy.
