Chapter 1: Stone Age

300,000 BC:

On the grassy field, the wind sway the leaves of the grass left.

On that field, a deer grazed the grass and ate of its green. Unbeknownst to the creature a bipedal predator stalks.

His footstep was silent, his body; though hairy was covered by a fur of orange striped with black.

This fur belongs to a mighty hunter, a tiger, and yet it seemed it succumbed to this weak-looking creature.

The menacing creature continued to eye the deer with a predatory look, slowly advancing his step toward it.

There was a glint of murderous intent present in his eyes; eyes of hunger.

On his hand was a long wooden pole, maybe around a meter and a half while on the very end of that was a sharp stone in the shape of a leaf, crudely forged by scrapping off the edges to make it sharp.

It's a weak tool, but for the time, this is cutting-edge technology.

This tool gave the hunter even more confidence to hunt down this deer. He had done it, more than a hundred times and fed his family its meat even more.

His mouth was already starting to salivate just at the thought of that deer's meat being served for dinner.

And so his step got a little more rushed.

Rustle

However his footstep was soon disrupted by a rustle.

Though the rustle didn't belong to him.

The deer raised its heads up in confusion, and without even anotyer second it ran away.

"Oga! Oh! Oh! Oga!" Knowing that his prey will get away he threw away all stealth and just go ballistic.

He raised his stone spear up and chased after the running deer.

"Oga! Oga!" He roared, or atleast what is the closest to it to intimidate the deer.

As he chased the deer, his feet blurred. Then suddenly out of nowhere something flashed right in front of the caveman that seemed to swiped away the deer.

The caveman opened his mouth in surprise. His primal instinct screaming at him. The deer was gone and replaced by it was giant creature of white menace. It has scales, scales that looked like armor; that of course the caveman didn't know of.

It was long, about the size of a titanoboa which is approximately 12 meters long. It was a snake, but a giant and armored one. It didn't hiss, instead it roared.

*RAAAAAAAAAARR!*

The human froze in fear at the sight of the creature. It then straightened, its stature dwarfing him.

"O-oga! Oga! Oga! Boga!" The human panicked and screamed in fear but he didn't run; no he can't run.

There was just this fear emanating from the creature, primal and pure fear. A rhythm of deep clicking beats resounded like a thundering drum, each beat making his body shake.

The creature slowly turned its head around, crimson liquid falling down from its maw. It looked at the cavemen and sneered as if looking at an inferior creature.

Kuh… kuh… kuh… kuh…

Each click has a deep, almost bass-like tone, with a slight echo that gives it a sense of depth and space.

It was intimidating to the human, as if saying "never cross paths with me again" or "do not enter my hunting ground".

There was an unsettling sense of intelligence in the creature's eyes. A wisdom that should not be seen from such a monstrous creature.

After giving its warning the creature turned its head around and laid it flat once again on the ground. There was a great thud that resounded, evidence of its weight.

Then it slid. Its body swayed and slithered, it was so terrifying to look at that even the motion created from it shocked the human.

It looked as if an entire tree was moving on the ground.

Once the creature was gone, the human slumped on the ground. His breath heavy and his heart beating fast.

He wasn't this scared even when hunting a mammoth with his fellow tribesman.

After witnessing such a thing he needed to warn his fellow tribesman. Otherwise they would mindlessly trespass on the great serpent's territory and die.

In a rush he ran back to his tribe. His feet moved faster than it ever did his entire life.

"Oga! Boga!" Soon after an hour of running and some occasional rest he reached his small tribe.

It was a gathering of five small tents, it was small, and to call it a tribe would be stretching it out a bit. In the middle of the five tent was a bonfire, with men like him around it watching it in fascination.

"Oga!" He screamed, garnering their attention. The tribesman all turned their heads around at him, but they looked at him in disappointment.

He was tasked with bringing food by hunting but looking at him returning empty handed disappointed them and made them angry enough to scream like a bunch of monkeys.

"Ohhh! Aahhh! Ahh! Ahhh!" They screamed at him for not bringing back food.

"Oga! Oga! Oga!" The latter pointed at the direction where he came from and cried. It seems that he wanted to convey something far more complex but his linguistic ability or for the better word the linguistic development of the time failed to articulate proper words to convey his intention.

His fellow tribesman looked at him in confusion, unable to comprehend what he wanted to say.

The latter groaned exasperated. Then suddenly an idea struck him, he took a small stone from the ground and ran at the cave where they lived before the tent.

He gestured at his fellow tribesman to follow and when they did, he scratched the wall drawing a picture of what he saw.

It was not the most detailed, it's more like he drew a worm but they finally understood him. He encountered a new predator and they are warning them to not go there anymore.

This small and simple drawing right here would become something famous in the future. It would be called "the first serpent's cave painting." The first ever depiction and encounter of human with the greatest titan ever, Titanus Jörmungandr.
