Chapter 147: Chapter 146: Thousands of years? -1 (Edited!)

"We could have taken turns," Elsa says, rolling her eyes as we both step out of the shower.

"I was just trying to conserve water," I reply with a cheeky grin.

"Right, and I would believe that if you had kept your hands to yourself in there," she retorts, giving me a knowing look that cuts through any excuses.

"Can you blame me?" I say, my gaze lingering wantonly on her toned, glistening body.

Elsa smiles happily at my comment and exits the room, only to return swiftly with an object in hand. "Oh, the choker," I remark with a smirk as I lie down on the bed.

"Necklace," she corrects with mild annoyance, tossing it aside instead of wearing it. I know why she is not planning on putting it on right now.

"Luke… I need to talk to you," she says, lying down besides me.

After an intense sex session and a steamy shower, her body seems to radiate with a newfound glow. It is that unmistakable post-intimacy shine, heightened by the transformation she has undergone tonight—from a girl to a woman.

And, of course, that glow might have a little something to do with being thoroughly "moisturized" by me—three times over.

I gently move a strand of her red hair behind her ear. "What's on your mind, El?" I ask in a soothing tone.

"Tonight, you… well, you came inside me, yeah? So there's a chance I might be pregnant," Elsa says, meeting my eyes with an intense, probing look.

Her serious tone lets me know that she is testing me. "El, I have a power… that lets me control the fertility of my sperm. So you are definitely not getting pregnant this time. But if you want a kid, we can start the rematch right now—I wouldn't mind having a child with you," I reply with a playful smirk.

"Are you serious?" She narrows her eyes at me, scrutinising my words.

"I wouldn't lie to you, El," I say with a reassuring smile.

She huffs, her serious expression easing. "Ha… why do you even have such a ridiculous power?" she asks, exasperated.

"So, did I pass your test?" I ask, grinning.

"It wasn't a test… I just wanted to see if you would take responsibility," she mutters, averting her gaze.

"Aww, no rematch then? No kids?" I tease, gesturing towards my rock hard dick. "Look, Sir Long Dickenstein was all set for round four."

Elsa gives me a flat look. "No, I do not want bloody kids right now!" she snaps, though her eyes sparkle with amusement.

"Alright, alright, I can wait. We have got our whole lives ahead of us for all that," I say softly, leaning in to kiss her forehead.

A faint blush creeps across her cheeks as she smiles back at me, though she quickly shakes her head and refocuses.

"But there's something else I need to tell you… my mum is pregnant," she says, her tone growing serious again.

"It wasn't me," I say automatically.

"Wha? Why the bloody hell would it be you! You don't even know her!" Elsa snaps, as she punches my chest with a huff. "No even if you did, she's my mother! Why would you even think that?" She punches me again, clearly annoyed.

"Cough… I just wanted to clear Sir Long Dickenstein's name!" I say, rubbing my chest where her punches landed. They actually stung a bit. Well, I probably deserved it—sometimes my thoughts slip out of my mouth faster than any counter-thought can stop them. Or maybe, I just like the thought so much that no counter-thought even shows up.

I push these ramblings aside and refocus on the naked redhead beauty in front of me. "As I was saying," Elsa continues, giving me a pointed look, "my mum's pregnant, and it is my father—Ulysses Bloodstone's—child." She narrows her eyes, clearly irritated by my earlier distraction. "The baby's due in a few months, but my father has gone missing. So, it is up to me to track him down."

"Right… you mentioned your dad was missing when we first met at the Baxter Building," I reply, gesturing dismissively. "But are you sure he is really missing? Didn't you say it is normal for him to disappear for months on a hunt? Maybe he will turn up on his own."

"I thought the same thing, but my mum has been on my case. She is convinced something has happened to him," Elsa sighs, rubbing her forehead in frustration.

"Why is she so certain?" I ask, gently massaging her forehead while activating my Angelic Aura to soothe her.

"Normally, he checks in every week or two, but it has been four months now. The longest he has ever been out of contact before was two months—and even then, we knew where he was. This time, he just said he was off on a hunt and vanished. So, yeah, there is a bit of reason behind her paranoia… but I reckon it is mostly the pregnancy hormones," she says, letting out a weary sigh.

"Got a recent photo of him? Maybe I can help," I offer.

"Yeah, hang on," Elsa says, standing up to grab her phone. She shows me a picture of her father—an absolute unit of a man, blonde, muscular, the quintessential chad.

I run the photo through D.A.I.S.Y., but after a few moments, she reports back. "Sorry, El," I say thoughtfully. "The Micro Satellite Swarm has been operational only recently, so anything before it came online won't be in the database. But at least we know for sure that he is in a place where the satellites can't reach him."

"So… my idea about Monster Isle might still hold water," Elsa says with a flicker of hope. "Father always used to reminisce about his hunts there. Maybe he has gone back there and is still hunting."

"Could be. I will send some Bio-probes into the underground tunnels where Mole Man emerged from. It will speed up the search for Subterranea, and if that connects to Monster Isle, we can find it that way," I say, running my fingers gently through her red hair.

"Thank you, Luke. That would really help," Elsa says softly, resting her head on my chest.

"You don't need to thank me," I smirk, "but you could thank Sir Long Dickenstein."

"Don't worry," Elsa says with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Elsa the Monster Hunter will definitely thank him properly in the future."

I hold Elsa close in a spooning position, her warm body nestled against mine. As we both were enjoying the quiet intimacy, Elsa suddenly sighs.

"What's that sigh for?" I ask curiously.

"Sorry, I am just worried about my mum," Elsa admits, her voice softening as she puts a hand to her chest. "She is pregnant, and I should be with her, but her constant fretting over my father gives me so much anxiety. This hunt… well, it is kind of an escape for me, really. You know, she and my father... they don't exactly have a healthy relationship."

She pauses, her eyes clouded with frustration. "So, you would think her worrying about him would be a good sign, right? But it is not. It is just making me more and more anxious about him."

I lean forward, concern etched on my face. "What do you mean by 'not healthy'? Are you saying it's—" I stop myself, my own childhood flashing in my mind, emotions threatening to spill over. "I am sorry, you don't have to answer that," I say, pulling my feelings back under control.

"No, it's fine," she says, softly caressing my arm as I hold her. "It is because of me, really… My Mum, Elise, never approved of Father's methods. She hated that he trained me... her child to be in constant danger." Elsa's voice is tinged with a wry smile.

"Thank God someone in your family has some common sense. I was starting to worry everyone might be as mad as you," I say with a playful sigh of relief.

"Oi! What's that supposed to mean?" Elsa snaps, giving my arm a light slap in annoyance. Then her tone shifts, growing more somber. "Anyway, when I was growing up, Mum was always at odds with Father. Every time we got back from a hunt, there would be another argument. She was miserable, always fighting with him… but Father? He is a strict man. Eventually, he had enough of it and sent her to a medical institution—said it was for the insane, just to keep her out of his way."

"What? What the fuck?" I exclaim in shock.

"It is fine now," Elsa says, her tone softening as a proud smile creeps in. "When I grew up, I brought her back home."

"But how could your father do that? She is his wife!" I say, outraged.

"… It is not really his fault," Elsa replies with a sigh. "For him, the Hunt is everything. It is his life, his creed. It has been that way for thousands of years. We can't expect him to change for us, even if we are his family."

"Wait, thousands of years?" I raise an eyebrow, catching her slip.

Elsa freezes, her blue eyes locking onto mine as she realizes what she has just revealed. "Ah, fuck it… but first, promise me you won't go blabbing this to anyone!" She looks at me seriously
