Chapter 12: It's Jubia. She's been missing for a few days now
A few hours later, I was woken by someone's screams. I opened my eyes and saw it was Gadjeel.
"Finally, you're awake, Jade. I've been calling you for a long time."
"I'm sorry, I was really tired. What's the problem?"
"Go and get dressed first. I'll wait for you in the living room," he said as he left.
I got up and looked at myself in the mirror. My hair had turned white with golden streaks, but the most surprising change was the color of my eyes—one was blue, and the other golden. Quickly, I took a shower, dressed, and joined Gadjeel in the living room.
"What's the problem, Gadjeel?"
"It's Jubia. She's been missing for a few days now."
"Where was she the last time you saw her?"
"She said she was going to look for Gray, I think."
I see, this must be around the time of the Tower of Heaven arc.
"Don't worry, I'm sure she's fine. But if you want, I can try to communicate with her or teleport us to her if she's wearing the necklace I gave her."
"I tried to communicate with her, but she's not responding. So, I suggest you teleport us instead."
"Alright, let me just locate the magical energy in the necklace."
I concentrated, and after a few minutes, I felt exactly where Jubia was. Taking Gadjeel's hand, I teleported us to her location.
Not far from the Tower of Heaven, on a boat, I saw Lucy, Happy, Gray, Jubia, Millianna, and her gang—everyone except Simon. They all seemed injured.
" What happened to you?" I asked.
"That's none of your business. You're enemies. What are you doing here?" Gray said coldly.
"No, Mr. Gray, these are Jubia's friends. How did you find me?"
"It was Jade who found you because of the necklace you wear," Gadjeel explained.
"Tell me, what happened here?" I asked quietly, and Lucy answered.
"Well, Erza was kidnapped, so we came to look for her. We had some problems, found Erza, but she told us to leave. Now we're here, but Natsu went to join Erza."
"I see. I'll go and see what's happening at the tower."
I've always wanted to save Simon, so this is the time. After all, I want to see Jellal and Simon be rivals for Erza's love.
"I'll go," I said, conjuring wings of light behind my back and flying towards the tower.
I reached the tower, which was now made of crystal, quickly. Jellal had launched his attack, and I saw Simon about to protect Erza. I snapped my fingers, and a wall of light appeared, shielding them. Despite some cracks, it held strong.
"Who dares to interrupt me?" Jellal said, looking very angry.
I appeared in front of him.
"Me. And what are you going to do now?" I said with a smile.
"You again. What did you come here to do?" Natsu asked, looking at me.
"Don't worry, it was Jubia who told me to come here. So there's no problem. I came to protect you."
"I thank you for coming to help us, but we don't need your help. You can leave now," Erza said coldly.
Suddenly, I started to glow, and after a few seconds, a clone of me appeared.
"Clone, pick up Erza and Simon and take them to the boat to keep them safe."
"Yes," said my clone, walking towards Simon and Erza, but Erza refused.
"No, I won't go. I can still fight."
"You can't even stand up. Don't worry, I'm here to beat this idiot," I said, pointing at Jellal.
"Yes, you should listen to her. I have a feeling that girl has come to protect us. So you can go now, Erza," said Natsu, and Simon nodded in agreement.
"Well, next time I will protect you."
My clone carried Erza and Simon. They tried to leave, but Jellal stopped them.
"You really think I'm going to let you go like that?" he said, trying to attack the clone, Erza, and Simon.
I stepped between my clone and Jellal and punched him in the face, sending him flying a few feet away.
"You can go now," I said.
My clone and Erza and Simon quickly left, leaving me with Natsu and Jellal.
"So, Natsu, let's kick his ass," I said.
"With pleasure."
"You really think you can defeat me? I'm one of the Ten Wizard Saints," said Jellal.
"That's not why we're giving up," I said excitedly.
"You asked for it then," he said, concentrating his magic in his hands.
But before he could cast his spell, he found himself surrounded by arrows of light.
"When did you place these? I didn't even see you use magic," said Jellal in surprise.
"A magician never reveals their secrets," I said, snapping my fingers as all the arrows rushed towards Jellal.
The arrows hit Jellal, and when the smoke cleared, I saw him injured but still standing.
"As I said, you are quite weak now. After all, you suffered an attack from Erza, and even I would not come out unscathed from her attack."
"That's true, but if I can't beat you, at least I can beat Natsu."
"That's what you think," Natsu said, taking one of the crystals from the Tower of Heaven and eating it.
"You're so stupid to dare eat that crystal," said Jellal.
Suddenly, Natsu started screaming in pain, scales appearing around his eyes, and his magical energy kept increasing. All of a sudden, Natsu charged Jellal and hit him in the face, sending him flying backward.
Well, it seems I don't need to act after all. Natsu can defeat him now.
They both started fighting, and for the moment, no one was winning, but after a few minutes, Natsu gained the upper hand.
"This is your end, Jellal. Secret Dragon Slayer Art: Crimson Lotus Phoenix Blade!" he said, directing his attack towards Jellal.
"Impossible! Where does all this power come from?" shouted Jellal.
Well, it's the power of friendship from Fairy Tail.
Jellal took the full attack and was knocked out, but the tower started to glow and collapse. I took Natsu, who had no strength left, and tried to get out of the tower.
