Chapter 207: Chapter 206: The Insight Plan (Part 2)

Harry Potter World.

"The Triwizard Tournament, is it that time already?" Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Daniel Davis looked at the excited magic apprentices and shook his head with a smile.

With the arrival of the Triwizard Tournament, students from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and Durmstrang Institute also came to Hogwarts, causing a great stir among the students.

Durmstrang Institute, in particular, has a history almost as long as Hogwarts and has always been its arch-rival. This is because Durmstrang is a pure-blooded magical school, only admitting pure-blood descendants from the wizarding world and is famous for its study of dark magic.

Historically, most of the notorious dark wizards have come from this school, including the previous Dark Lord, Grindelwald.

In the eyes of Durmstrang students, Muggles have no right to enter a magical school to study. To them, Muggles are only fit to serve pure-blood wizard families.

The reason pure-blood wizard families despise Muggles is simple: with the rise of Muggles, nearly all Muggle-born wizards and witches no longer offer near-unpaid services to pure-blood wizard families.

This has been a significant blow to those who consider themselves aristocrats and upper-class individuals, as they now have no one to manage their estates.

While these wizarding aristocrats can still flirt and recite poetry at balls, managing family estates is beyond most of them, with only a few exceptions. Hence, pure-blood families have become increasingly desolate, much like the nobility in the ordinary world.

Of course, being wizard families, many still hold magical knowledge or crafts that Muggle-born wizards cannot grasp. So despite their decline, many still live luxurious lives in modern society.

Families like the Malfoys, who sell family heirlooms and haggle over a few Galleons to maintain their aristocratic lifestyle, are rare.

Lucius clung to Voldemort mainly to restore the Malfoy family's extravagant lifestyle. Without Voldemort, the Malfoys might have nothing left to sell in a few years.

Of course, Lucius's pride played a major role. Otherwise, selling the centuries-old furniture in their home to the Muggle world would still allow them to live luxuriously.

Each pure-blood wizard family is actually a hidden wealth, thanks to the many ancient artifacts they possess.

For wizards in Europe, especially those from pure-blood families, Durmstrang Institute is the top choice for education, not Hogwarts. Even Draco Malfoy almost went to Durmstrang, as his mother wanted to send him there.

It was only due to Lucius's strong opposition that Draco ended up at Hogwarts.

Lucius didn't send Draco to Hogwarts because he liked the school or Dumbledore. His main interest was Voldemort.

Interestingly, Slytherin at Hogwarts has managed to maintain a steady number of students over the years mainly because of Voldemort.

Before Voldemort's rise, Slytherin's student numbers were actually quite low since Hogwarts did not study dark magic.

Despite this, Slytherin students are generally stronger than those from the other three houses due to their bloodline advantage, particularly in terms of magical power. It's difficult for ordinary people to catch up.

Hermione, a brilliant Muggle-born witch, is an exception that only appears once every few decades. The last one was Voldemort, who, unfortunately, was obsessed with pure-blood ideology.

Other notable figures like Dumbledore, Grindelwald, and Newt Scamander were all born into pure-blood families.

However, not all pure-blood families are bad. The Weasley family, for instance, is a pure-blood family but is friendly towards Muggles.

"These kids, puberty is hitting them hard." The excitement among Hogwarts students for the Triwizard Tournament can be attributed to many reasons, one of the main ones being the arrival of students from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.

Beauxbatons Academy is a rare all-female magical school. Just like girls' schools in the Muggle world, the Beauxbatons students are all girls and quite attractive.

This naturally excited the Hogwarts students, who rarely saw so many girls. Even the students from Durmstrang Institute were thrilled.

Durmstrang has even fewer girls than Hogwarts, making them a rare commodity. For wizards, there's hardly anyone too unattractive.

As a result, several conflicts have already broken out between Hogwarts and Durmstrang students during the preparation for the Triwizard Tournament, with Hogwarts consistently losing.

For Durmstrang students, who start learning dark magic from an early age, the higher-year students at Hogwarts can hold their own, but the younger students stand no chance. After all, while Durmstrang students are already engaging in practical combat, Hogwarts students are still in theory classes. The gap is too wide.

"Voldemort's guts are impressive; he's still plotting under these circumstances." The Triwizard Tournament is Voldemort's plan to ambush Harry and ensure his own resurrection.

For Daniel Davis, Voldemort no longer held any interest. Splitting his soul into seven, or rather eight parts, seemed formidable but had reduced Voldemort to neither man nor ghost.

As for turning Voldemort into a Philosopher's Stone, Daniel currently had no need for that. His harvest of Philosopher's Stones from the world of "Demon Slayer" was already sufficient for the time being.

Since there was no need to turn Voldemort into a Philosopher's Stone, Daniel had no intention of dealing with him. With Grindelwald and Dumbledore both alive and working together, Voldemort had no chance of making a comeback. This Triwizard Tournament would be the end of him.

Without the need to train Harry Potter, all of Voldemort's Horcruxes were known and mostly found. With the two old men around, if Voldemort still couldn't be killed, Grindelwald might as well commit seppuku.

"I wonder how their studies are going." Daniel's main reason for coming to the Harry Potter world wasn't the Triwizard Tournament but to bring Ada and Robin here to learn magic.

While combat spells from the Harry Potter world no longer had much use for Daniel, spells like Apparition, the Undetectable Extension Charm, Reparo, and Aguamenti were highly useful. Especially Apparition, a form of spatial transfer that any wizard could learn.

Once Ada and Robin mastered these spells, they could always escape if they couldn't win a fight.

Compared to Daniel's cautious initial entry into this world to learn magic, Ada and Robin were much luckier. Daniel had prepared everything they needed to learn magic. All they had to do was study diligently.

With Apparition, Ada and Robin could teleport at will, and the Undetectable Extension Charm would give them items similar to space rings.

Both Ada and Robin were eager to acquire these abilities. Ada needed them to store various equipment, even though she rarely used her Goro Goro no Mi powers in combat, perhaps keeping them as a trump card.

Robin, on the other hand, just wanted to store books.

"A world with magic truly has unparalleled special effects." In the Harry Potter world, novels, movies, TV shows, and even anime about the magical world abound, and thanks to magic, the special effects in these productions are far superior to anything Daniel had seen before.

In the magical world, there's no risk of ridiculous situations like a duel between Dou Emperors turning into a land battle.

Thinking of certain fantasy TV series with laughably poor effects, Daniel felt speechless. It was clear that magic allowed for effects that were far beyond anything he had seen.

Of course, magical special effects are used in live performances, while anime still relies on traditional methods. With Daniel's mastery of Oasis virtual reality technology, there were no issues in this area either.

"Looks like there won't be any chance to slay a dragon this time. Oh well." Initially, Daniel had considered slaying a dragon during this visit to the Harry Potter world. But seeing the strict surveillance of dragons by magical authorities, he abandoned the idea.

Dragons are rare resources in the current magical world. Even if they occasionally cause trouble, magical authorities rarely kill them. Even in the Triwizard Tournament, where one task involves battling a dragon, the dragons are captured alive.

With the significant reduction in various magical creatures, the International Confederation of Wizards had no choice but to enact rare animal protection laws similar to those in the Muggle world.

In the Muggle world, these laws are purely protective, while in the magical world, they are also to ensure future resources. Dragons are incredibly valuable, and most wands today are made using dragon parts.

Though Daniel couldn't slay a dragon, he could still buy dragon meat.

In addition to dragon meat, Daniel also bought two Pegasus, a male and a female, the kind with wings that can fly. Beauxbatons Academy arrived at Hogwarts in a carriage pulled by dozens of Pegasus.

Daniel didn't need these creatures for transportation. He planned to give them to Stark and Pepper. Despite Stark's changed personality, he would undoubtedly love such rare magical creatures.

Pegasus are not particularly rare in the magical world. Besides being able to fly, they are quite similar to regular horses. The fact that Beauxbatons could field a dozen to pull their carriage proves this.

The reason Daniel only gifted them to Stark and Pepper and not to the Captain and Carter is that Pegasus are hard to maintain. They are creatures only the wealthy can afford to raise, as they drink only the finest wines.

Maintaining a pair of Pegasus can be as costly as the upkeep of a warship. The Captain and Carter couldn't possibly afford that.

"Is Ron finally going to confess?" Before the Triwizard Tournament, Hogwarts

held a dance party where everyone had to invite a partner.

Hermione, who Harry never saw as particularly attractive, received many invitations. After the top Durmstrang student invited her, no one else dared. Except for Ron.

Harry never saw Hermione as attractive, which once puzzled Daniel as to why Harry and Hermione never got together. But now he understood.

Harry liked gentle and cute girls, while Hermione was too strong-willed. They would have constantly fought if they were together. In contrast, Ron would never dare argue with Hermione.

Interestingly, even Draco wanted to invite Hermione.

"Ron seems bolder than before. Is it because of me?" This time, Ron was decisive and directly invited Hermione.

"You two stay here for now." Just before the Triwizard Tournament was about to begin, Daniel left instructions for Ada and Robin and returned to the Marvel universe.

As Voldemort had planned, Harry's name still emerged from the Goblet of Fire. However, it was more Grindelwald's doing than Voldemort's. Despite some opposition from the other schools, since Hogwarts already had two contestants, the Ministry of Magic intervened, and Harry had to participate.

Daniel had lost interest in this event. After dealing with the annoying Rita Skeeter, the journalist who fabricated news like a certain bird, he returned to the Marvel universe.

"Are these for us?" As Daniel expected, Stark and Pepper were delighted with the Pegasus. Stark, in particular, loved these flying magical creatures.

As for the cost of maintaining them, for a man who could burn through a set of Iron Man suits as if they were fireworks, it was just a drop in the ocean.

"If you want to ride them, make sure you're safe. Also, the Pegasus can't fly too high." To prevent Stark from taking risks, Daniel reminded him of the precautions.

In the magical world, these issues weren't a concern. No wizard has ever fallen to their death. But it's different here. Also, being living creatures, Pegasus can't fly as high as Iron Man suits.

In the magical world, Pegasus are always hidden with Disillusionment Charms to avoid being seen by Muggles.

"I know, don't worry." Stark quickly assured Daniel he understood.

As a top billionaire, Stark already had several horses, even though he rarely rode them. They were still well-fed and cared for by many people.

"There was a violent gunfight in the city center today." Returning to his villa, Daniel saw the latest news on TV.

The footage showed several destroyed police cars, among which was a vehicle Daniel found familiar—a black car that looked quite ordinary but was also destroyed.

"So they've made their move."

Chapter 208: Chapter 207: The Insight Plan (Part 3)

"Truly worthy of being Fury's ride, it's incredibly sturdy." The state of the surroundings and the damage to other vehicles on the news was enough to show how intense the battle had been. The news anchor even listed the weapons used by the attackers: Gatling guns, rocket launchers, and other heavy firepower. There were likely more unmentioned weapons, such as anti-tank mines and ramming devices.

The damage to Fury's car's door glass was probably caused by a ramming device. As the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Fury's car had security measures comparable to those of a top national leader. The reinforced glass windows could withstand rocket launchers and anti-tank mines, though the latter could flip the car over.

This small car represented the pinnacle of S.H.I.E.L.D. technology and was worth more than an ordinary person could spend in ten lifetimes.

"From the scene, it looks like Fury isn't dead." Daniel Davis sipped his drink, watching the news with a calm expression.

"Helicarriers, huh?" Daniel wasn't too worried about Fury's fate. He was more concerned with the three helicarriers. Worth billions, these ships being destroyed was a huge loss. Building such helicarriers again with the cooperation of the world's major nations would be extremely difficult.

However, discreetly taking the helicarriers without being noticed wasn't easy. Although he could use Pym Particles to shrink and take them, it would definitely cause a huge uproar.

This was the Marvel universe, not the world of the Titans. Even without considering Kamar-Taj and Asgard, Fury himself was not to be trifled with. Captain Marvel and Goose alone were more than Daniel could handle.

Staying low-key was Daniel's motto. Even though he could dominate the world of "Demon Slayer," he never showed off his invincibility.

Daniel wasn't paranoid, but being cautious had its benefits, especially in a world with ultimate human weapons like nuclear bombs.

"Getting all three helicarriers without being discovered is too difficult. The safest bet is taking one, maybe two at most."

The five major nations invested heavily to create three helicarriers, only for them to be turned to ash before they could take off.

Fury's decision to dissolve S.H.I.E.L.D. was likely not just because of Hydra but also due to this massive financial loss. If S.H.I.E.L.D. remained, Fury would have to shoulder the blame. Dissolving it left the nations with no clear path to hold him accountable.

"S.H.I.E.L.D. seems quiet now. Luckily, I have Whitehall as an insider. Otherwise, I'd have no clue when the Insight Plan would start."

The helicarriers were equipped with cloaking systems. Once airborne, they wouldn't make any grand announcements. Pierce's plan was simple: choose an ordinary day to launch the helicarriers, use Zola's algorithm to eliminate the first batch of targets, then announce Hydra's domination.

The first targets were key leaders from various countries, organizations, and corporations who wouldn't compromise with Hydra. Even if the plan wasn't entirely successful, it would eliminate a significant portion of these individuals.

Zola's algorithm was an AI system that used big data to predict who might or might not compromise with Hydra. Those deemed uncompromising were the first to be targeted, including Daniel Davis, Stark, Pepper, Strange, and others.

While the algorithm was powerful, it wasn't perfect. For instance, it couldn't calculate the Ancient One's actions, even though she was online.

"Compared to these Hydra guys, using human lives to create Philosopher's Stones seems almost kind-hearted. Even the Homunculus from 'Fullmetal Alchemist' can't compare to Pierce."

The Homunculus sacrificed fifty million lives, but with the global population in the Marvel universe, Hydra's first sweep would likely claim at least a billion lives, enough to perform two national transmutation circles.

"With that many Philosopher's Stones, you could probably create a powerful being." Daniel shook his head. This was just a thought; he couldn't actually do it.

Modern technology and the internet were terrifying in their invasion of privacy. For ordinary people, everything said and done online could be tracked and retrieved, even if deleted. For those with the right skills and equipment, nothing was truly hidden.

With the right algorithm, it was possible to infer most people's personalities and preferences, allowing for targeted responses.

The true core of the Insight Plan wasn't the helicarriers but Zola's algorithm. Without it, the helicarriers were just expensive toys, no matter how many there were.

"Fury didn't ask for my help, nor did Tony or Banner. Are they planning to handle this on their own?"

As the day of the Insight Plan arrived, Daniel was surprised Fury hadn't reached out to him. Through Whitehall, Daniel learned that rumors of Fury's death were circulating within S.H.I.E.L.D., and his top agents—Natasha, Hawkeye, Sharon, and Hill—had disappeared.

Because of this, Pierce accelerated the launch of the Insight Plan, skipping further tests of Zola's algorithm. He believed that once the plan started, even if Fury reappeared, it would be too late to stop it.

"This is a good opportunity to make a big move." Thanks to Whitehall, Daniel was well-informed about Hydra's internal situation, including many well-known companies. If Fury leaked all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s intelligence, these companies would be doomed. Daniel could take advantage of this to acquire some of them.

He didn't need to handle this personally; the Red Queen could manage it.

"I understand."

The weather was clear and sunny. For the ordinary employees at S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Triskelion headquarters, it was just another workday until Captain America's voice came over the loudspeakers.

"That's the Captain for you."

Many ordinary S.H.I.E.L.D. employees stopped working upon hearing the Captain's speech. However, the Hydra agents within S.H.I.E.L.D. continued their work, and the helicarriers began to lift off.

The Triskelion, located on an independent island within Washington D.C.'s jurisdiction, was surrounded by water.

Inside Fury's old office, five high-ranking members of the World Security Council were gathered. They had come in person for this significant event.

Outside the office, Daniel suddenly appeared in the hallway. The two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents guarding the office immediately charged at him upon seeing him.

Due to the actions of Captain America, Falcon, Hawkeye, and others, most of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were out hunting them. Pierce likely didn't expect anyone to storm the office, so he only had two guards.

Inside the office, Pierce had just revealed his Hydra identity and the truth of the Insight Plan to the World Security Council members, urging them to surrender. Suddenly, the office door was flung open, and his two guards were thrown inside.

Daniel walked in, surveyed the scene, and smiled. "It's lively in here."

"You?" Pierce's face changed upon seeing Daniel. He knew exactly who Daniel was. The next moment, he panicked and reached for a weapon—a handgun.

"Room." Seeing Pierce's move, Daniel used his Op-Op Fruit powers to snatch the gun and a remote control with his baton.

"You really know how to cause trouble, huh?" Daniel said, grabbing Pierce by the collar and throwing him out from behind Fury's desk. Then Daniel sat down in Fury's chair.

There was only one chair in the office, so even the World Security Council members were standing.

"This doesn't concern you. Why are you getting involved?" Pierce, with a slightly bloody nose, asked Daniel.

"You put my name on your Insight Plan list. Why do you think I'm involved?" Daniel replied irritably.

"How did you know?" Pierce looked at Daniel in shock. As a high-ranking Hydra member, Pierce wasn't stupid. His smartness made him even more shocked. The Insight Plan was top secret, known only to a select few within Hydra. But Daniel seemed to know everything.

"Such a stupid plan. How did you even come up with it?" Sitting in the chair, Daniel scrutinized Pierce. Despite his old age, Pierce still looked charming in his white suit.

"I have a question that's been bugging me. As a top Hydra leader, you shouldn't be dumb. Why did you come up with such a foolish plan and actually go through with it? Before the appearance of aliens and Asgardians, this plan might have been fine. But with their presence, why didn't you change it? Care to explain?"

"Exactly because of their appearance, we need the Insight Plan. Only by unifying the world under one voice can we gather all resources and develop space technology to fight those aliens. Space technology hasn't advanced much due to internal conflicts among nations."

Pierce's words were filled with a righteous tone, as if he was bearing the world's burdens. If Daniel didn't know Hydra's true nature, he might have believed him.

"Hahaha, sacrificing at least a billion lives for one voice? That's your idea of unity?"

"These are just necessary sacrifices."

"Such nice words. I almost believed you." Daniel clapped his hands lightly, mocking Pierce. Rulers always found justifications for their actions.

"What do you mean by one of Hydra's top leaders?" At this moment, a female World Security Council member revealed her disguise. It was Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, with her sleek black hair.

"Do you really need to ask? Hydra, Hydra—it isn't just one head. The head Captain America and Peggy Carter cut off was just one of many. Cutting one head only allows two more to grow, because while one head is exposed, the others stay hidden. Even if the exposed head is cut off, the hidden ones will ensure it regrows. Isn't that right, Secretary

 Pierce?"

"What do you know?" Daniel's words shocked Pierce. As a high-ranking member of Hydra, he wasn't afraid because he knew other Hydra branches would rescue him. Even in the original timeline, Pierce didn't expect to be killed outright. With someone like Malick, a former World Security Council member, getting Pierce out would have been easy.

"What do I know? Only what I need to. Actually, Hydra's actions this time are irrelevant to us. We don't care who rules Earth. But your mistake was putting me and other untouchable people on the Insight Plan list. You've angered some big names."
