Chapter 2: Chapter : getting to camp
Edward came out of the studio it was a bright sunny day with people going about their lives it was a scene Edward had rarely scene , in the underworld he was often training, learning about Greek mythology or just reading books , it was difficult to read due to his ADHD and dyslexia but he got by he had found a love for maths and different languages such as French Russian Sanskrit and Latin as well as his magical studies where he loved transfiguration charms and spatial magi
As he walked through he pondering on his next move 'the journey to CHB would be a long ones it is in NYC and I'm in LA I've already crossed out air and sea because of my dear uncles I think my current best option is to go through bus's ' Edward mapped out the path to CHB with a map he carried , after mapping out his journey he was about to get on a bus he felt a chill crawl up his spine as he looked up a storm was brewing , quickly he ran away from the bus as lighting descended upon the bus killing its passengers .
Edward ran through the streets as several harpies come in his area of senses as he heard the screeching , he already wanted to kill himself with their screech "CoME HERe deMIGod "they screech as Edward killed any harpies came close with lost vane , after 30 minutes of running and evading harpies and bolts of lightning , 'I need to get in the woods I cant stay at one place or dear uncle will strike me down'
Edward runs through the forest as he takes out his scythe as he started hacking and slashing each one of them whilst he was evading if that was not bad his other uncle decided to send some cyclops's to party, after massacring every monster he found himself a cave where he currently taking rest 'so this is how it's going to be for the coming months huh'
[time skip 2 months]
We see Edward run through the forest as he was being chased by a chimera as the sun was setting , as he evaded a stream of fire , he take out his scythe as he latches it to a rather thick tree as he uses his previous momentum to swing around and get behind the chimera , taking out lost vane to cut the goat and snake head off and stabs the lion in the head as ichor burst out as it turns to dust leaving only gold dust
'it has been only two months since left and I have chimeras cyclops , harpies and 20 more species of monsters are trying to kill me , from the look of it that's the north star in the ursa minor constellation so if my knowledge is correct I'm currently in Nebraska , I should go set camp' Edward thought as he calmed his breathing and was going to a nearby cave after he finished he went through his supplies
'let's see I have 2 bottles of water a map , two jars of ambrosia and nectar a credit card with unlimited amount of money ,a first aid kit my weapons and a banana, you might be wondering if I have so much money why not like a train or even any wizard travel, my father forbid me to use any travel so that was taken out of question. 'As Edward finished his camp he placed a notice me not charm a muggle repellent charm as well as a ward that made sure no small monster could come, as he finished his warding he heard a scream as heard a scream of a guy.
Quickly taking out his scythe Edward ran towards the location of the scream, approaching it he sees a clearing where a boy with bright blond hair and sky blue eyes wit blood running down his head and arm as he was protecting a girl auburn haired girl who was knocked out with blood, they were surrounded by a pack of hellhound as one lunges at the boy , Edward speeds up as he jumps as he stabs the hellhound in the head as it turns to gold dust , he then quickly kills the remaining six wolves with efficiency unthought for his age
After finishing killing them Ed looks back to see as the boy looked at him in awe, getting out of his shock he became defensive as he gripped a kitchen knife toward Ed "who are y-you" he stuttered out clearly afraid
"don't worry I'm a demigod too my name is Edward Cadmus what is yours" Ed says trying to calm the situation
"How do should I know if you are a monster trying to deceive us "he says still not trusting any of Ed's words
"If I were a monster you and the other girl would already be dead now come on we have to go I don't think your sister will last if you keep going on like this, I have a camp nearby there you could rest up" ed says as the boy quickly look at his sister realising Ed was right, so he agrees to go with him
After getting to the camp Ed gives basic first aid and some nectar to the guy who he realised was older than him "so what is your name and how did you end up here?" ed asks as he sits down his back facing the wall
" oh yeah my name is Adam west and this is my sister Lila west I 11 and she is 7, we lived in Chicago with our mother , one day a lot of monster started attacking , it killed our mother , we ran for a month it has been like this for the past 2 weeks, why are we being targeted ?, why do we get called demigod? why ?" by the time he was done he looked like he was going to start crying
"Well, the monsters are right we are demigods, do you know the stories about Greek mythology?" Adam nods his head listening to Ed "well they are true the Greek mythology is real as well as all other mythologies are real, the reason these monster call us demigods is because we are ,the Greek pantheon is currently in America as it goes with the heart of the west" Adam had several questions which Edward answered each question after which they fell asleep . As the next day came Edward met Lila and talked to her, he also informed them about CHB after which they decided to venture there
[time Skip 3 months]
Edward, was currently cutting down monsters left and right there were about 100 monsters attacking him as he used everything in his arsenal to stay alive as he finished of another harpy he heard loud screaming as he looked to his left seeing a hellhound devour the head of adam as it began eating the rest of Adam as he looked to his right to see a cyclops crush the head of Lila
Seeing his friend being killed something broke in Edward as he started screamed in anger as his eyes turned red as chains burst out of the ground stabbing Into the monsters left and right as monster came out of shadow near Ed , they were not Greek or of any pantheon they were grotesque wolf like creatures created from Edwards negatives emotions brought into life by his magic , as his monsters devoured every other monster on land as his chains hunted for any monsters like gryphons harpies , as he cut down every single monster with his scythe as he cuts down another monster a harpy was about to attack his back as he looked back in fear knowing that he might die his magic and demigod powers worked in tandem as he created a black spherical ball which sucked in the harpy crushing it ,
after he finished of all the monsters he started running towards the camp border , as he entered the borders his adrenalin ran out as he passed out
