Chapter 3: Extra Chapter 3

The other lions just turned to their king, not sure what to do...

"... Let's... Take a break from our duties today and join grandfather and, great great grandfather." Tafari finally said before sighing and following into the cave.

They found both Zuberi and the gigantic Asafa on the ground speaking.

"So you had four children? Only?" Asafa asked with a raised brow.

"Please grandpa, don't compare me with father and you, you two were much, much more hardworking than me." Zuberi said shily.

"It seems so... Well tell me about this Tafari boy."

"No no, grandfather, please tell me where you went and what happened." Zuberi insisted.

"Hmm fine... After leaving, I kept walking north until I reached a fascinating place with furrless, monkey like creatures.." Asafa spoke thinking back to what he had witnesses.

"Hairless, monkey like creatures? What type of animal is that?" Even Tafari couldn't help but to ask.

"I later on learned that they're called humans."

"Humans? How weird."

"One of those humans had a flat square object that could fly and a small monkey companion... Oh he also had a blue flying gorilla friends." Asafa said, realising how crazy he sounded.

"Blue flying gorilla friend? Did you make friends with them?" Zuberi asked, fully believing his grandpa while the others looked sceptical.

The scaredy cubs seemed intrigued.

"Those animals didn't like the sight of me and attacked me on first aight so I continued my travels. Eastwards after that."

"Africa is bigger than I thought." Zuberi pondered out loud.

"No, by that time, I had already left Africa." Asafa explained.

"There's more than Africa?" Everyone gasped.

They had never thought to think that there was anything outside of Africa, when you reach the borders, you reach the sea.. but it turns out that if you continue north there is another... Place.

Asafa saw the glint of curiousity burning in his grandson's eyes and sighed. 'He's too old to explore the lands now...' he thought.

"After that, I reached a forrest, unlike any Forrest I've ever seen before. There I saw animals that I've never imagined could possibly exist." Asafa said as he thought back.

"What kind of animals?" One of the lionesses couldn't help but to ask.

"Mmm I met a beast called a bear, just smaller than myself." Afasa thought back.

"Almost as big as you? What type of beast is that?"

"It looked like a... Hyeana, but much bigger and more hairy, and not as dumb? Although he was silly. I meade friends with that bear and a panther." Asafa said fondly.

The black panther he met reminded him of Imani, the black panther that seduced his brother...

"A bear and a panther? You became friends?" Zuberi asked in wonder.

"Yes, and somehow we saved a cub of one of those humans"

"Oooh, saved him from what?" A cub jumped forwards, asking.

They had been hiding because of fear earlier, but the stories got so captivating that they forgkt all their fears.

Asafa smiled, looking at his descendants.

"Hmm there is a beast that looks like a lion, but without a mane and it's bigger and stronger than normal lions."

"WHAT?" Even Zuberi and the adult lions got surprised by this.

"Yes, it's called a tiger. Bigger, faster and stronger than a normal lion but it doesn't move in a pride, it's red with black stripes. Weird looking, we saved the cub from that tiger."

"To thinkt that there would be such a creature."

"It's even weirder than aunt Imani!" Zuberi spoke.

"Was he stronger than you?" One of the other cubs came forward and spoke.

"Me? I made ShereKhan look like a fool, he used to believe himself to be some kind of king until he met me, but I have to admit, he was stronger than any lion I've met before." Asafa explained, thinking back.

"Was he the one that gave you that scar?" Another cub jumped forward and asked with stars in his eyes.

"This scar? No, I got that later. After helping the human cub back to his pride.. ermm, village? I think it was called, I stayed a bit with my new friends before deciding to make it back here to meet Zuberi again..." His tone changed slightly in the end, making everyone listen closely.

"So I returned westwards, but the thing is, I missed Africa and reached to far to the west until I reached another human pride. But this time it was much, much bigger. They had buildings I could never have imagined." Asafa said.

"Why is there so many of those furrless animals? And are they tasty?" Zuberi asked with a glow in his eyes.

"They are bony, not much meat... But the weird thing is, in this place, there were humans that glowed and lived in the clouds." Asafa retold his adventures.

"In the clouds?? How is that possible, did they have wings?" Some even started doubting that Asafa was telling the truth.

"No, there was a zebra without any black stripes, he had wings and he flew them up to the clouds." Asafa explained, barley believing his memory.

"What happened there?" One of the cubs asked.

"Well..." He wasn't so sure how to explain it. He met a half human, which had the legs of a brown zebra. Asafa the helped him train another human regain his yellow glow. And then helped the human with the glow defeat his evil uncle with a burning head.

Then they pointed to where his home was so he could return, but how could he explain all that?

"Well I made friends with two of them and fought alongside them, that's when I met abother lion whose skin was impossible to penetrate... He's the one that gave me this scar..."

Asafa explained his battles until sunset , leaving everyone in awe.

He had fought a legendary lion that was almost invincible.

"Then you returned?" Zuberi asked.

"Almost, I kept walking south until I reached the sea... That's where I met those humans again."

"AGAIN??!" All the cubs shouted.

"But this time it was weirder, their lower half a, were fish-like, and they lived in the sea."

Asafa saw how their eyes started spinning.

"Their king helped me reach Africa, he also carried a trident and had a white mane growing on his face."

"Don't you mean head...?"

"No, his mane was on his face, although he had a cub with blood red mane on her head, they helped me reach Africa."

"That's when you came back here?"

"No... Not yet, as I started traveling south, I reached a Forrest inhabitated by gorillas..." Asafa didn't know how to explain the rest.

"Don't tell us...."

"Yes, there was another human living amongst them, his name was Tarzan, Intrigued, I stayed for a while until a pride of Tarzan's kind arrived. That's also when I learnt that they were called 'humans'"

"Did they climb like monkeys?"

The cubs started murmuring.

"In the end,Tarzan was swallowed by a gigantic white bird that flew away... So I returned here..." Asafa's throat got dry.

After retelling his adventures, he could barely believe himself.

He hadn't even spoken about all his adventures, as they would make him seem crazy. He had experienced some real oddities.

The truth was that he was also swallowed by the gigantic white bird, and it spit him out far from Africa. From there he travelled back south, and saw many wonders.

He saw a female human and a bear like prince fall in love, he saw a snow human princess, he saw seven mini humans with a female human.... He saw an old human that could create green light from her hands. She saw a human with golden mane that was as long as a tree.

In the end, the cubs kept asking questions until the moon reached it's peak.

Even the adult lions kept asking questions.
