Chapter 12: Chapter-12 ( Genjutsu!!!)
Naruto had fully mastered the jutsu he learned from Kakashi and the Rasengan Bullet technique. A few months later, Naruto joined the ninja academy. However, he remained silent about his knowledge of Shadow Clones and other jutsu to avoid graduating quickly and changing future events. He acted like the regular Naruto character, not showing any ninjutsu in the academy.
As usual, Naruto's homeroom teacher was Iruka Umino. He pretended to struggle with chakra control, sometimes sending his Shadow Clone to attend class while he trained in hidden places to increase his proficiency. One day, Naruto went to meet Kakashi to learn new ninjutsu, but Kakashi was talking to a girl. Shocked, Naruto realized she was Kurenai, a Jonin (an elite ninja). After thinking for a moment, Naruto decided to follow Kurenai without her knowing.
Kurenai arrived at her house, suddenly stopped, and said, "Come out, kid." Naruto was shocked and slowly stepped out. Kurenai thought to herself, "He's that tailed beast kid. Why is he following me?" She asked Naruto, "Hey kid, why are you following me?"
Naruto stammered, "That's... that's... okay, how did you find me so easily?"
Kurenai replied, "I sensed your chakra. Don't change the topic; tell me why you followed me."
Naruto quickly thought of a reason to avoid suspicion. "I want to learn nature release ninjutsu from you."
(Naruto knew Kurenai excelled in genjutsu and could use it without a Sharingan. That's why he asked about nature release jutsu instead of genjutsu to avoid suspicion.)
Kurenai replied, "Nature release jutsu? Why do you want to learn that?"
Naruto said, "Because I want to learn."
Kurenai softly rejected Naruto, but he kept insisting. Not knowing what to do, Kurenai finally changed her mind. "Okay, kid, I will teach you. First, tell me your name."
Naruto replied, "Naruto Uzumaki."
Kurenai said, "I am not good at other nature transformation jutsu, but I am good at genjutsu. If you want to learn this jutsu, you can come to meet me tomorrow."
Naruto suddenly said, "Yes, please teach me genjutsu. I am so interested in learning this. Can't you teach me now?"
Kurenai replied, "I have some work. So come tomorrow, and don't disturb me today."
Naruto went home and thought, "Well, I am also interested in genjutsu. How does it work?" He went to sleep, and the next day, he got ready to meet Kurenai.
Naruto met Kurenai, and they went to a training area. Kurenai said, "Naruto, first you have to learn about chakra control."
Naruto quickly replied, "I know chakra control, so quickly teach me genjutsu."
Kurenai said, "Why are you in such a rush? First, show me tree climbing."
Naruto easily climbed a tree. Kurenai said, "You're good at chakra control, aren't you, Naruto?" Then she continued, "Well, Naruto, you're good at chakra control. Just listen to me carefully and practice this jutsu. The more you practice, the more efficient the genjutsu will be."
Naruto nodded, and Kurenai started her genjutsu teaching. "Look, Naruto, in order to cast genjutsu, you have to learn about chakra sense and chakra manipulation. This manipulation creates illusions within the target's mind, disrupting their senses. Sensory deception works by affecting the target's senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. My techniques bombard the target's senses with false information, creating a convincing illusory world."
Naruto nodded, and Kurenai performed genjutsu using her hand signs. After a few seconds, Naruto found himself trapped in a tree. He couldn't tell if it was real or not. He was astonished by Kurenai's jutsu. Kurenai released her jutsu and asked Naruto, "How was this jutsu?"
Naruto said, "It's amazing."
Kurenai smiled and started teaching Naruto hand signs and how to manipulate chakra. It took some time, and then Kurenai asked, "Did you memorize my teaching?"
Naruto said, "Yes."
Kurenai continued, "You've learned the hand signs. Just practice chakra manipulation and hand signs, and you will be able to learn this jutsu in five or six months."
Naruto groaned, "Aah, that's too long."
Kurenai replied, "In order to perfectly learn this genjutsu, you have to practice properly."
After some time, Kurenai and Naruto parted ways. Naruto went to his regular training spot and recalled Kurenai's teaching. To learn genjutsu, he needed to sense others' chakra. Naruto created 100 Shadow Clones and started meditating to sense chakra. After ten days, Naruto could sense chakra. He closed his eyes and felt another person's chakra ( he easily mastered chakra sensing). He then practiced hand signs with chakra manipulation but couldn't create genjutsu. He continued practicing with his 100 clones, and due to the shared experience, Naruto learned the genjutsu in one month.
Naruto sent one of his clones to the village. The clone targeted a person using genjutsu without them knowing, creating an illusion of the person falling into a pit. The person said, "What just happened? I was walking around and suddenly fell into a pit, and then everything was normal again. Well, I was just dreaming." The clone disappeared, and Naruto received its memory.
Naruto thought to himself, "It looks like I was able to learn genjutsu. It looks awesome. I can easily fool someone." He laughed and thought, "What if I use 100 clones to perform genjutsu? If I use genjutsu with 100 clones, I can even put an elite ninja under genjutsu."
Naruto continued to practice his ninjutsu, and after one month, he could perfectly use genjutsu. "I have to try this genjutsu on Kakashi-sensei. If my genjutsu doesn't work on Kakashi, I will use 100 Shadow Clones to perform genjutsu simultaneously on Kakashi. The stronger the chakra, the more efficient the genjutsu output will be." After intense training, Naruto went home and slept. The next day, Naruto went to the academy like normal Naruto.
