I chuckled to myself as I looked around the room, taking in the expressions of discomfiture and impatience that were written so plainly on the faces of the people assembled around the conference table.

My attention then shifted to the vacant seat on the other side of the table, and when I checked the time on my watch, the lines between my brows tightened into a frown. There was still no trace of the new Chief Executive Officer, Miss Kelly Matthews… fifteen minutes after the clock struck ten.

After four years of waiting for her to come back and become the owner of MM Manufacturing and Industries, it was my intention to hand over to her today the role of CEO of the company and then leave; however, her mother insisted that I teach her everything she needs to know in order to run the company effectively before I do so.
