UNO’s POV

It was lunch time and I was at the hallway, scrolling my phone randomly as I waited for Ashley to finish her class when I felt a light tap on my shoulder. I looked up and I saw her, Kate.

It’s been a week since we talked to Jane and I haven’t heard any news about them, about Kate. I thought her mother had finally convinced her to have an appointment with a psychiatrist but I think I was wrong because here she was, smiling sweetly at me and just for a short second, I could see the old Kate in her.

My mind raced back to my first days here in NewArc Academy after I dropped out in Kingsborough and how Kate helped me around the huge campus as I followed her like a lost puppy. She was liked by everyone in college back then because she looked like a sweet innocent angel. I remembered how she introduced me to Jeno and Liam and how I finally felt like I was a part of the group, a family. What happened to her, really?
