JOSH’S POV

I pulled the car to a stop in the parking lot adjoining Yeri’s apartment and killed the engine. I jumped out of the car immediately and entered the building, making my way to the elevators.

I waited patiently for the ride as it ascended the building, glaring at the buttons and ignoring the couple sharing ride with me.

Once the doors slid open on the 14th floor, I marched along the wide corridor and made a stop to her room. I have my spare keys but I chose to knock.

And the door opened wide with Yeri looking haggard and worn in pajamas and red-rimmed eyes.

“Hello Yeri,” I spoke softly, watching her eyes widening as she registered my presence.

“Josh!” Yeri exclaimed, my gaze fixed on her who’d gone white with shock. “W-What are you doing here? I-I thought you’re going to spend Christmas in LA with your mom and dad?” she rasped taking a step back as though she had seen a ghost.
