Chapter 5: Apotheosis (5)

In an instant, a translucent holographic display materialized before Arthur, presenting his attributes and abilities.

<< Status Screen - Arthur >>

Attributes:

Strength: E Intelligence: F Wisdom: F Agility: E Dexterity: E Endurance: E Charisma: E

Arthur's eyes widened with a mix of surprise and satisfaction. Despite his initial disappointment, the status screen revealed that his attributes were well-balanced, reflecting the efforts he had put into staying physically fit and maintaining a friendly disposition at the gym.

He wondered if he could get a more thorough examination of his stats, and tried touching one of the stats, and was surprised when another pop-up appeared.

Strength: E [Feeble] Arthur's physical strength is currently lacking, but through hard work and dedication, he may unlock hidden potential.

Feeble? Now, that was just pouring salt into his wounds. After all, he wasn't the most jacked up guy at the gym, neither was he the strongest dude on three

shakes of trey, but he was confident to say that he was far above average on strength at the very least with his years of experience in the gym.

He didn't even dare to open his stats that were ranked 'F', but it was then that he got an idea. Perhaps, it's not that he was weak, but just that he wasn't strong enough compared to the gods and demi-gods that had now been birthed into the world. After all, if he as a mortal had the same lifting strength as a god, then the gods would simply be a disappointment.

Next, he clicked on his skills, both of them at the same time, and just like he thought, they appeared side to side.

Farming: Novice [Just Starting] Arthur has recently begun to learn the art of farming, nurturing crops and reaping the rewards of the land's bounty. With dedication, he can become a skilled cultivator.

Physical Conditioning: Novice [Just Starting] In his quest for self-improvement, Arthur has started basic physical conditioning. Through training and hard work, he can strengthen his body and increase his endurance.

It wasn't bad, not bad at all at least for a Mortal, or maybe it wasn't? Arthur didn't know since he didn't really have a point of reference right now. He turned to look at his sister who was completely engrossed in her status screen, and judging by the look on her face, she must have some pretty high stats.

"Hey, Lil?" Arthur called out, and Lily looked up from her screen. "You mind telling me what's on your status scre-?"

Lily furrowed her brows, a hint of confusion creeping into her voice. "Wait, can't you see my stats? I thought we could check each other's status screens."

Arthur shook his head, his expression mirroring her confusion. "No." Then he asked her, "Wait, Are you able to see mine?"

Lily squinted her eyes to where Arthur pointed, but found that she couldn't see anything. "I guess we're not allowed to see each other's status screens?"

"Hm. . .I guess it makes sense," Lily said. "It would be pretty bad if an enemy could see all my abilities and skills. That'd be a pretty busted game."

"Wait, hold on, I just got an idea," Lily said, before she went onto tampering with her status screen. Lily grinned mischievously, reveling in her newfound godly status. She tapped a few commands in the air.

"Okay, but you could just-"

With a theatrical flourish, she turned it towards Arthur.

"There."

<<Player Lily (God) would like to share her status screen with you. Accept? Y/N >>

Before Arthur did anything, he asked Lily the first question that came into his mind. "Okay, so how on earth did you know how to do that?"

But Lily only hissed at him to stop wasting time. "Just click accept, and you'll see why."

"Alright, alright," Arthur said, before clicking on 'Yes'. And then, before his eyes, right beside his own status screen, Lily's popped up, and immediately when he saw her status, his jaw fell to the floor.

"What. . .the. . .fuck?"

Arthur's eyes widened as he observed Lily's status screen once again. This time, her attributes of Intelligence and Wisdom, fitting for the Goddess of Wisdom and Warfare, were no longer obscured. They stood at an impressive C, showcasing her unparalleled knowledge and strategic prowess.

Lily noticed Arthur's gaze and couldn't help but smirk. "Impressed, big bro?" she quipped, her tone brimming with confidence. "Other than my strength stat being larger, don't you think my wisdom and intelligence make me a force to be reckoned with."

"There's my annoying ass sister," Arthur sighed. "For a second there, with how quiet you were, I actually thought that you'd been taken over by someone else or something."

"Nope." Lily grinned like a cheshire cat. "Sooooooooo, big brother, what do you think about my stats?"

Arthur looked carefully at each of her stats, and wondered if he could expand on the details of her status screen just like he did with his. Pinching at one of the skills, he was glad to see a pop-up appear.

Divine Wisdom: Novice [Embarking on Enlightenment] As a novice in the art of divine wisdom, Lily is just beginning her journey to fathom the profound knowledge of the gods.

"Divine Wisdom?" Now, he knew how Lily figured out that you were able to share your status screen with others.

"Hm?" Lily raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah, that one. I thought it'd make me this sort of super genius but it's more of an intuition thing. You know, how you get that gut feeling that something's wrong, or you're about to have a good day."

"Gut feeling?"

"Yeah, so it's like that, but for random things. I. . .I can't really control it just yet," Lily said. "But, enough about that, check the other one about the swordsmanship."

Arthur did as Lily said and clicked on the [Divine Sworsmanship], since he was also particularly curious about that skill too.

Divine Swordsmanship (Novice) : Lily has begun her journey in mastering the art of Divine Swordsmanship. With enough training, she may be able to split the oceans and penetrate the very skies.

"Judging by the look on your face, you're probably wondering what it really does for me right, but check this out," Lily closed her eyes, and focused. And right before Arthur's eyes, Lily started. . . glowing?

"Cool, right?" Lily said, before turning it off. "Hey, you think it might turn into a halo, like those angel things if this skill advances enough? Hmm, how would I even advance this skill though?"
