Stray Devil
In the ORC he was met with Rias and Koneko who seemed surprised that he was there. Luckily Issei wasn't here to make it more difficult than it already was.
Akeno was at least 6th Gold Core stage and Rias was at most 4th Soul wandering stage
" Ah good afternoon Elba-kun . It is nice to meet you " Rias extended her hand for Isamu to greet him to which he shook.
" Good afternoon to you too Ms. Gremory " Isamu said. Rias was surprised that he knew her . Isamu noticed this and responded.
" You are pretty famous with what happened earlier today and even then you are famously nonetheless so I would know your name. So what was the main reason for calling me here ?" Isamu asked.
" I think you reacquainted sister should tell you " Rias said dumping all the work to Akeno. Koneko who heard this was completely surprised hearing this. She understood know where that weird feeling came from.
" Well you see we are .... " Akeno was about to finish her sentence when.
" Fallen angels , I know " Isamu said shocking the group further.
" If that is what you were going to tell me then I should take my leave. " Isamu said. He wanted to use that shock to escape them but he was stopped.
" W-Wait how did you know " Rias was curious.
" Well it is quite simple really. When you undergo to much stress your body reacts as if it is in survival mode and if you are a fallen angel wings erupt from your back. " Isamu explained.
" Then how ?"
" Did I survive ? I subconsciously refused that heritage forcing my body to become closer to my human heritage to the point I saw myself fully human. That was until recently though , thank that pervert for that " Isamu said.
The trio was shocked at his explanation but quickly recovered.
" Wait , that isn't why we called you here " Rias quickly explained.
" You see we are devils " Rias said as the trio's wings got revealed. They were all devil wings except for Akeno's which was one devil wing and another fallen angels.
" Cool and ?" Isamu was clearly unimpressed . He honestly didn't want to further interact with them. Rias was slightly insulted at this but continued her explanation
" Well I am Rias Gremory and I am king of this peerage. Akeno is my queen and Koneko is my rook . We also have other members such as Kiba who is my knight and Issei is our pawn. We would like you to join us so that you may become my second knight. " Rias said.
Isamu adopted a thinking pose for a while.
" To be honest it seems fun but Issei is kind of a downer for me . Tell me what are the pros ?"
" Well , you earn yourself a family in our peerage and no one will target you with my backing " Rias said.
" And the downside is that I only answer to you right ? Kind of like a slave " Isamu said. He remembered that peerages were just masters with their 15 or less slaves.
" The president is nice and treats us as family , you won't regret it trust me " Akeno said. She wanted to protect him as after all blood was thicker than water.
Isamu thought for a while before giving his answer.
" No thank you " He said.
Rias was flabbergasted .
" What ? "
" The very thought of being a slave to someone isn't my cup of tea " Isamu responded honestly.
" You really don't understand the dangers of the outside world. You will be killed without our help. " Rias coerced Isamu but he had already seen suffering beyond what Dxd had to offer.
Living in a cultivation world with no background or support had hardened him beyond measure.
" If I die it was because I was weak nothing more nothing less. " Isamu turned to the door.
No one stopped him but one could see Akeno longing to go after him but she did not.
" How about we let a stray devil find him so that he can truly experience the outside world. " Rias suggested at Akeno .
" But... "
" Don't worry , we will make sure he doesn't die and if he dies I will just ressurrect him. " Rias said.
Akeno was hesitant and Rias saw this . She gave out a loving expression at her.
" Akeno , this is your choice. If we don't do this now he will probably die later somewhere else . True that he may come to resent us if he finds the truth but this is far much better than him dying . " Rias reasoned.
Akeno thought for a while , this was her long lost brother. She finally agreed. It is far much better to see a loved one resent you than die.
" Very well then , it will happen today after school so be ready " Rias ordered.
Isamu returned back unaware of what was soon to transpire .
The day continued boring as always and within no time Isamu was already out of the gate heading home. He wanted to further train his body so as to survive this world .
On this particular day he walked towards home faster than he usually did . As he slowly reached to his home , he saw the people strangely lessen at a quicker rate till he alone remained.
He didn't let that thought disturb him but later he saw a strange tall man wearing a raincoat and a hat approach him . His movement was slowly and steady , it smelled that of a killer .
It seemed that he was just passing Isamu but the moment he was an arms distance. He removed his hands from his pockets and directed it to Isamu . Immediately the nails grew at a quick rate and he narrowly dodged them but it drew blood on his cheek.
He flipped back wards as he made a fighting stance . He sensed his energy and equated it to 9th level qi gathering stage. This battle was going to be tough as he himself was at the 7th qi gathering stage.
The stages apart might seem small but it was enough to make all the difference. He needed to make this person underestimate him.
" Kekekeke You are very nimble brat . Maybe I should start being serious. " He said.
He raised his hands and they elongated at a quicker rate. They were slower than Isamu predicted but he had to make it look like he was struggling.
He dodged all of them but making sure that it was narrowly or he was slightly cut.
After a while the stray devil jumped at him retracting both of his arms nails and once he was in mid air he charged energy into his hands in one fell swoop threw them to Isamu . Isamu had been waiting for an opening and this seemed like a good time.
With a burst of speed he dodged it and jumped to the stray devil delivering a blow to his gut. The stray devil splitted a chunk of blood but before he could even counter, multiple attacks rained down on him .
The stray devil could not even think to counter as he received the blows. Isamu only targeted the vital organs or the head to temporary incapacitate him . As gravity started doing his work and they approached the ground , Isamu grabbed the stray devil by the neck and made him fall in a compromising position hence breaking it.
The stray devil was no more. Isamu straightened his back and cracked his neck then picked up his bag and proceeded back home like nothing happened.
Meanwhile Rias and Akeno watched this in the distance. They were both shocked at his prowess but Rias was quick to recover. Desire appeared in her eyes. With Isamu then things could be better for her.
Akeno seeing the look of desire in the president's eye made her slightly afraid for Isamu .
They watched as he entered his home and a few minutes later they felt a sad scream with their enhanced hearing . They quickly reacted to go and see what was happening .
