After listening to John's introduction of abilities, Sarah and the others hurriedly urged Olivia to eat the Cloud Cloud Fruit.
As for the miraculous Moon Rabbit Fruit that John mentioned, they were a little repulsed by it in their hearts. After all, it was a myth they had never heard of. Wouldn't it be nice to just stay human?
Why become an animal?
Olivia didn't hesitate for long. She looked at John and asked,
"Boss, can we just eat it?"
"Well, you can eat it however you like. As long as you eat it, you'll gain abilities."
As he said that, John grinned a mischievous smile and added,
"Don't worry, there will be surprises."
Olivia felt a bit uneasy at John's smile, but her curiosity won over. She wanted to personally verify if John's explanation was true or not.
Since they had just entered the game and had no tools aside from the clothes they started with, Olivia could only take a dry bite of the Cloud Cloud Fruit. She opened her lips and closed them again, biting off a piece of the snow-white flesh. Almost immediately, her pupils dilated, and she was about to spit it out in disgust.
John quickly snapped his fingers, using his game administrator authority to seal her mouth shut. He suppressed a chuckle,
"Don't spit it out—you'd have to eat it again."
"???"
Eat it again?
"Uuuuuuuuuu~~~"
Olivia's eyes widened, her cheeks puffed out, but after a long while, she finally swallowed the disgusting pulp.
"How about it, was it a surprise?" John grinned, showing his teeth, looking like he deserved a punch.
But Olivia couldn't care about John's smug face at that moment. After swallowing the Cloud Cloud Fruit, she felt a strange power coursing through her body.
Following her instincts, she extended her white arms forward and relaxed. Suddenly, she floated into the air before everyone's eyes!
"Olivia!"
"Wow! She can really fly!"
"I…"
Olivia was equally stunned. She had merely tried to control the new power within her, and her body had instantly entered an elemental state, hovering in midair. She was a little overwhelmed.
Around her, a cloud of mist began to swirl, expanding from her as the center. The mist reflected her nervous emotions, and parts of it slowly darkened.
One of the cloud's abilities was weather control.
"It's all about mental focus," John reminded.
Poor control of abilities was a normal occurrence for novice Devil Fruit users. Even Luffy, after eating the Gomu Gomu no Mi, took time to fully master his power.
Hearing John's advice, Olivia steadied her nerves. After a lot of effort, she managed to recall all the scattered clouds back into her body, landing on the ground, slightly out of breath.
Except for special cases like the Yami Yami no Mi, elementalization is a major feature of the Logia type, but using powers consumes physical stamina. As a beginner, Olivia found herself quickly exhausted.
Back on the ground, Sarah, Emily, and the others crowded around her, bombarding her with questions about her experience.
"This ability… How should I say it? It's incredible!"
Normally reserved, Olivia couldn't hide her excitement after experiencing the power of the Devil Fruit for herself.
"Olivia, you had such a weird look when you ate the fruit. Was something wrong?" Sarah asked suddenly.
"Uh…" The corner of Olivia's mouth twitched, glancing at John who was watching with amusement. She smiled slightly,
"No, it's just that the Cloud Cloud Fruit was too sweet. I took too big of a bite and got choked."
John: "???"
Here we go!
She's twisting the truth!
"Really?"
"Yeah, of course. Sarah, you'll know if you try it."
Olivia held out the remnants of the Cloud Cloud Fruit to the others, now mostly an empty shell.
Unable to resist her curiosity, Sarah took a bite. Her face immediately contorted into a strange expression, but instead of complaining, she followed Olivia's lead, saying,
"It's really… a little too sweet."
"Really? I love sweet things!" Emily's eyes sparkled, and she eagerly took her turn, biting into the fruit.
"…It's definitely sweet." She quickly lowered her head, hiding her true expression. She couldn't risk showing what she really thought.
The rest of the group followed suit, each taking a bite and then pretending to agree with the others. When Alice was the last to try, all of them, in unison, declared the fruit "too sweet!"
…
"Boss, you did that on purpose!"
"Yeah, you're awful, boss!"
A few small fists playfully punched John, but he remained unfazed, smiling calmly,
"Hey, it wasn't me! Olivia over there started it."
"…"
Suddenly, a commanding voice interrupted their lighthearted moment.
"Hey! You all must be the pirates who landed in Loguetown, right?"
They turned to see a muscular, silver-haired man in a white uniform, shirtless, with two cigars smoking as he glared at them. This was Smoker, the Smoke Smoke Fruit user, and the top officer in Loguetown.
"You're another Logia user!"
Smoker's eyes locked on Olivia with caution, his Jitte made from Seastone ready for battle.
When Olivia used her powers, the disturbance hadn't gone unnoticed. As a fellow Logia user, Smoker was acutely aware of the potential danger she posed.
"Don't panic," John calmly transmitted a message to Olivia,
"Even if you can't beat him, it's not hard to escape. Try using rain clouds."
The essence of smoke is small, solid particles floating in the air, while clouds are tiny droplets or ice crystals. While their natures may counter each other, the Cloud Cloud Fruit has the ability to control the weather.
And as everyone knows, Smoker and rainy days don't mix well.
Taking John's advice, Olivia activated her powers again, turning into a massive cloud and floating skyward. Under her careful control, the cloud darkened into a cumulonimbus.
Seeing this, Smoker's expression darkened. He barked orders at his subordinates,
"Watch out below!"
He turned into smoke, flying upwards to engage Olivia, but her cumulonimbus cloud had already formed.
In a flash, rain poured down in torrents.
Soaked mid-flight, Smoker plummeted back to the ground.
"Curse these pirates! The power to control weather! Cloud Cloud Fruit!"
Gritting his teeth, Smoker glared in the direction where John and the others had been. His voice seethed with fury as he shouted,
"Where did they go?!"
"Colonel Smoker! They disappeared as we tried to catch up!" One of the navy soldiers replied nervously.
"Just… disappeared? What kind of crazy ability is that?"
"Where did these pirates come from?!!"

However, no one was destined to answer Smoker's question. The sudden disappearance of John and the others was the result of him using his administrator privileges.
As long as John was in this world, he could even use all the Devil Fruit abilities at will or perform operations such as rewinding time, resurrection, and rebirth. After John left, Smoker could only vent his anger on the remaining players in Loguetown.
Besides the group that had been captured earlier, more players who had just chosen Loguetown as their spawn point rushed excitedly to the execution platform, only to be immediately caught by the squatting Navy soldiers.
Of course, the quality of the Navy in Loguetown was still decent, at least under Smoker's leadership. They upheld justice in their hearts. The players all claimed to be treasure hunters or explorers, with some even going to the Navy branch to ask if there was anything to "pick up." One group even ended up with Navy uniforms in a confused daze.
In the end, there wasn't enough evidence to prove these players were organized pirates just because they visited the execution platform, so they were let go after a lot of trouble.
On an unnamed island, John teleported there with Sarah and the others.
The encounter between Olivia and Smoker had been brief, or rather, it hadn't been much of a fight at all. Olivia had successfully evaded Smoker using her newfound ability from the Cloud Cloud Fruit, allowing her to escape.
At the same time, she gained firsthand experience with the fruit's powers and began to understand what battles in this world would entail.
"This feels… so exciting and fun!" Olivia was buzzing with excitement, her hands emitting faint cloud shapes as she tested out the weather control abilities of the Cloud Cloud Fruit.
Rain was only the basic operation of the Cloud Cloud Fruit, and Olivia quickly began thinking about thunderstorms, snow, and hail. The fruit's attacks might have been flashy, but they were highly practical. The rain alone could suppress the abilities of someone like Crocodile, who wielded the Sand Sand Fruit, or even Akainu, who had the Magma Magma Fruit—both of which were vulnerable to water.
"And now I get what you mean, boss. Without access to the pay-to-win options, it's way too hard for the average player," Olivia remarked.
John smiled and nodded. "Even a standard Devil Fruit can sell for hundreds of millions of Beli at auction, but a rare fruit like the ones you have—Logia or Mythical Zoan Fruits—would never make it to market.
"Of course, it's not all about spending money. You could still walk around and randomly find a Devil Fruit if you're insanely lucky. But physical combat techniques and swordsmanship are also excellent paths of progression, which I mentioned before."
"These options are simply out of reach for most players," Olivia added.
"Woooooh, boss, we're all crying!" Bella pouted dramatically and clung to John's shoulder.
John was unfazed and pushed her away, saying, "You'll have to figure out the rest on your own. Giving you these two Devil Fruits already disrupts the balance of the game. If you want more abilities, you'll have to go find them yourselves."
He ignored Bella's puppy-dog eyes and added, "Oh, and I almost forgot: Devil Fruit users are rejected by the sea. In other words, you'll lose all your strength if you fall into the water."
"Also, there's a substance called Seastone in this world. If you come into contact with it, you'll lose the ability to use your powers, like Smoker's ten hands earlier. Without Haki, Logia-type users like you would never have a chance in a fight."
John rattled off the rest of the rules like bullets from a machine gun.
"Seastone?"
"What's 'Haki,' boss?"
Everyone looked at John, overwhelmed by the new terms being thrown at them. Their brains were overloaded with information, but their curiosity got the better of them.
"Haki is… well, it's kind of an ability," John mused, realizing how difficult it was to categorize Haki.
"Haki is divided into three types: Armament Haki, Observation Haki, and Conqueror's Haki."
"Armament Haki significantly boosts attack and defense in combat. Most importantly, it allows you to hit the real bodies of Logia-type Devil Fruit users like yourselves."
"Observation Haki is a sensing ability that can detect threats within a certain range, and at more advanced levels, it can even predict the future."
"As for Conqueror's Haki, that one doesn't concern you. It's a rare ability that only those born with the will of a king possess. It can't be learned—it's something you either have or you don't."
"Wait, you can hit the real body of a Logia-type user?" Jessica, who had been tugging on Olivia's arm, looked up in astonishment, confused by the concept.
"And… you can predict the future?!" Bella exclaimed, even more bewildered by the notion.
"Boss, you've got to be kidding," Sophie chimed in, half-laughing.
"You think I'm lying? Well, too bad, no candy for you!" John shot back with a smirk.
Satisfied with their reactions, John continued, "Let me send you somewhere. If you're serious about thriving in this world, you'll need to master Haki. Otherwise, you'll only be able to take down weak enemies at best."
"Where are we going?" Sarah asked.
"A… very convenient place," John replied cryptically before snapping his fingers. In an instant, their surroundings changed, and they found themselves in a lush, primitive jungle.
"This is Amazon Lily, also known as the Island of Women. There are no men here. And it's the perfect place to learn Haki because the female warriors here primarily use Armament Haki."
"Really? Only women?" Olivia's eyes lit up with curiosity.
John glared at her. "What are you thinking?"
"Well, uh, it's just… Boss, did you design this island?" Sophie teased.
Boom!
John knocked her on the head in exasperation. "What kind of nonsense is that? Should I throw you onto an island full of burly men instead?"
"No, no! Boss, I was wrong! This place is great!" Sophie quickly corrected herself.
"Anyway," John continued, "you all still have to work on 'Identity V,' so come here to train in your free time. Olivia, do you want to stay here or go elsewhere?"
"I think I'll make some money first. I need to help everyone else with their abilities," Olivia replied thoughtfully.
"Alright then, I'll change your starting point to Amazon Lily," John said with a wave of his hand, using his administrator privileges to update their starting location.
With that, Olivia and the others now had legitimate identities on Amazon Lily, making it easier for them to train in Haki.
