Chapter 101: Nachtschatten Battle pt. 1
As moonlight washed over the containers of Euphoria tonic in the music filled club, Nachtschatten, a tense mood filled the air. This underground spot had become the setting for a dangerous showdown. Luciano, surrounded by his ghouls, smirked wickedly at Cherry, Elias, and Lyra, who were trapped and outnumbered.
Cherry, sensing the seriousness of their situation, turned to Elias and Lyra. "It's now or never," she said quietly but firmly. She quickly showed her power, "Spearlink Vanguard!" Right away, three glowing chains with sharp spears appeared, spinning around her, ready to strike.
Luciano laughed, a sound that was cold and mocking. "Nice trick," he sneered, watching the chain spears. He then tightened his fists, dark energy swirling around them. "Vampiric Fists," he declared. With a strong swing, he punched the air, sending out a wave of shadowy energy that looked for life to steal.
Elias was ready to fight back. "Manifest: Oakheart Arsenal!" he shouted. A wooden sword and a crossbow appeared in his hands, perfect for fighting vampires. "Lyra, stay back," he said seriously, standing between her and the vampires. "We'll handle this."
Luciano called upon three creepy ghouls from the shadows, their ghostly shapes flickering as they joined the fight. The air felt charged with magical power as the battle lines were drawn.
Cherry attacked first, her chains moving so fast they were a blur. One spear headed straight for Luciano, who moved just in time, the spear barely touching his coat. The other two spears hit the ghouls, destroying them with such force that they turned into clouds of shadows.
Luciano moved toward Cherry, each of his punches surrounded by a dark glow that seemed to suck the life from the air. Cherry moved quickly, dodging and using her chains to protect herself and attack.
Elias used his crossbow, shooting bolts covered in a special solution that weakened the ghouls. He aimed carefully, and each shot made the ghouls slower until they couldn't keep their shape and fell apart.
Lyra, although told to keep away, saw a chance to help. She used her essence technique, yelling to Cherry and Elias, "His defensive are weakened when he's attacking!" At her command, both started coordinating a strategy.
Cherry's chains moved again, the spears aimed at Luciano. But the vampire lord was fast; he used the life from a nearby ghoul to heal himself and moved quickly to avoid the spears. He then turned to Elias and hit him hard with his fist, the blow so strong it pushed Elias back.
The fight continued, Cherry and Elias working together, mixing her chain attacks with his skilled shots from the crossbow. Despite their hard work, Luciano got stronger with each life he took from the fallen ghouls. He then hit Elias several times, each punch strong and draining.
Elias staggered, clearly tired, as Luciano got ready to hit again, dark energy swirling around his fists. The vampire's smile grew, sure of his win, as the battle went on in the dark heart of the Nachtschatten.
