Chapter 50: 50. Finally, A Human Form
Looking through his stats, he noticed many of his maxed-out skills had ranked up twice, and two of his skills had changed. Mind Talk, ranked at B, had now become Mental Communication and was ranked at S and had a new levelling set.
While Tree Run, ranked D, had become Surface Run, ranked B. He also saw a new spell called Form Switch ranked at C.
'System, show me the information about the two changed skills and the new skill.'
[[Surface Run: Run up a nearby surface with speed and agility to attack from above. Successful attacks will do 200% more damage and confuse the target for 40 seconds.]]
'That's not very different from before.' He moved to the next one.
[[Mental Communication: Allows one to talk to a target's mind and hear their thoughts at a maximum distance of 5km of the caster for 30 mana. Targeting more than one target requires more mana.]]
'So that's gotten stronger. I'm guessing the levels probably add more distance.' He moved to the final thing.
[[Form Switch: Changes the user's form between human and beast. Costs 50 mana per use. Can only use it three times a day.]]
'I... I can switch... to a human form now?! Yes!' He suddenly got excited, his eyes sparkling, '"Sarah, back up for a second."'
Sarah raised her eyebrow but stepped away, "Alright."
Zion quickly activated Form Change. Once he activated it, he was surrounded by bright white mana, and his form vanished in the light.
Sarah covered her eyes at the brightness. Zion felt his body changing, getting lighter and vertical. He felt his front legs changing shape and his paws elongating into hands, complete with fingers. He felt his feet change and yet, at the same time, didn't completely change.
His face itched as he felt his muzzle retract and his teeth changed. Soon, the light faded away, allowing Sarah to look at him. Immediately, her eyes widened, and her mouth fell open, "Z-Zion... you... you..."
Zion opened his eyes and raised his hands. Other than long nails showing his claws, then they were human. He then focused on his arms, then he touched his face, feeling a typical nose and mouth although he still had sharp canines. He also reached up and touched the two fox ears on the top of his head and could feel his tails behind him. He noticed the faint feeling of hair on his shoulders, so he grabbed a clump of hair and looked at it. His hair was white; however, the last 4 inches were rainbow. He then looked down at his body. He was the same height as his fox form at 4'5" and looked around the same age as Sarah, which made some sense. He was technically young in this world.
His legs were still fur-covered and fox-like from mid-thigh down to his pawed feet.
Finally, the last thing he noticed, which made him immediately cough and blush in embarrassment as he moved his tails to cover himself up, "Uh... can you get me some clothes?"
Sarah finally snapped out of her shock from seeing him in human form and registered he was naked. She squealed lightly in embarrassment as her face turned bright red and covered her eyes before turning around. She ran out of the room but returned a few minutes later carrying some boy clothes. She put them on the desk, "T-These should fit you." She murmured before leaving again.
Zion watched her and sighed, 'I didn't think about clothes... I was just excited.' He chuckled to himself as he put the clothes on. It seemed to be a spare Academy uniform for boys, and it did fit him quite well.
Once dressed, he thought about opening the door but paused before looking at the two tails behind him, "Hm. Two tails is probably something I don't want others to know yet. System, is there a way to hide one tail?"
[[The host can use the mana in his body to manipulate his human form's appearance to show or hide tails. That is the only thing that can be changed.]]
"That's good enough." He nodded his head and then focused on the mana within his body. He pictured his human body and imagined only one tail. He felt a slight itch behind him, and when he turned, he only saw one 4-meter-long fluffy white tail with a rainbow stripe.
He nodded, pleased with the result, then opened the door, only to see Sarah standing there, her face still slightly red.
"Er... sorry about that, Sarah. I didn't... think about clothes." He scratched his head with a faint smile.
Sarah looked up and sighed once she saw he was adequately clothed, "Next time you do that, I'm gonna kick you!" She huffed before grabbing his hand and dragging him out of the room.
She dragged him to the cafeteria, where she stormed loudly enough to draw some attention to them.
Zion couldn't help smiling at Sarah's excitement as she looked for the others. She quickly found them and rushed over, "Guys, guys, guys look!" She said excitedly, then pulled Zion forward, causing him to stumble and almost fall, not used to walking with a human body anymore.
Ithil, Jacob and Aala looked at him in confusion, but Ithil was the first to stand up and speak with shock in his voice, "Z... Zion?"
"What are you talking about?" Jacob looked confused at Zion.
Aala's eyes widened, "Oh my God... did you... become a Rank C beast?"
Zion scratched his head with a chuckle, then stood and bowed a little, "Nice to meet everyone properly. I'm Zion, the white Fox."
