Chapter 35: 35. Showing His Own Skills

Zion continued to watch as the students each had a go at killing beasts. A few did well, while a couple had trouble since Ivan kept matching them to beasts with an advantage against them.

As he watched, he also wanted to fight, but this training was for the kids, so he couldn't.

However, Ivan noticed his occasional restrained movements, so he looked at Sarah, "Miss Veilstone, can I borrow your pet?" He asked.

Sarah looked surprised and glanced at Zion before looking at Sir Ivan, "Uh sir, you're welcome if Zion wants to. While we have a pet contract, I don't control him."

"Hm? Are you saying your pet has enough intelligence to make his own decisions?" Ivan raised an eyebrow.

Zion walked over towards Ivan and then stood where all the students had walked to previously, '"Yes, I have the intelligence to make my own decisions."' He sent a message to Ivan, causing the man's curiosity about Zion to rise even more, "Huh. Mind Talk. Curious. Anyway, I'll let you have a go at one of the beasts too if you wish, since I noticed you looked like you were going to pounce a couple of times." He waved his hand, and a grey wolf the size of a small car on earth stepped out of its cage, growling as its eyes locked onto Zion instantly.

Zion also immediately focused his attention on the wolf and immediately analysed it.

'Target the back. Got it.' He growled softly. The wolf howled and then ran at him, appearing in front of him in a split second to others' sight. However it was still slower than Zion. Although he could use his agility to avoid it, he checked out his new spell. Zion's lilac eyes glowed, which Ivan noticed immediately, 'Prediction.'

Staring at the wolf, he noticed a sort of faint shadow version of it move in front of it, going right in front of him and then swinging a paw straight down towards his head.

When his eyes stopped glowing, the wolf went for the paw strike on his head.

He avoided the attack easily due to knowing its attack, he also used Tail Flick at the same time, hitting its eyes with his fluffy tail causing the wolf to let put a growl as it was forced to close its eyes.

With the wolf's eyes closed, it didn't see Zion pounce straight onto its back where he then immediately clawed its back 3 times in 5 seconds, activating his Triple Strike attack.

The wolf howled in pain as its spine was attacked and it turned its head now that the blindness had worn off, snapping its jaws at him.

He jumped off the wolf to prevent it from attacking him and quickly looked at its health.

'That's a bit more then 60 damage... let's do that again.' Zion yipped at the wolf as he ran around it.

The wolf kept trying to bite and swing its claws at him but due to Zions better agility, he avoided all of its attacks and slowly chipped away at its health.

After an hour of constantly dodging and then attacking the wolf, its health finally fell to 0 when he pounced at its neck and dug his fangs into it, immediately drawing a large amount of blood. The wolf let out a final howl of pain as it fell the ground, blood seeping from all its wounds.

Zion tore a chunk of the wolves meat away and swallowed it down before he licked his now bloodied mouth.

He then turned to look at Ivan and sent him a message, '"Done now. Thank you for letting me fight."' He bowed his head towards the teacher then walked back to Sarah and the others.

The other students watching were both surprised and confused as their teacher seemed to have a one sided conversation with the fox.

However, one who figured out what had happened, was staring at Zion with a burning gaze.

When the training ended everyone was allowed to do what they wanted for the rest of the day. As always Zions little circle headed to their favourite spot to eat and talk when Zions ears twitched. He raised his head and looked towards the direction they had walked to get to this spot.

Sarah was the first to notice his reaction, "Zion, what's wrong?" She turned to look the way he was facing. Ithil and Aala also faced the same direction hearing Sarah's words.

Walking towards then, was a small group of 5 students. At the very front, was a girl who of course was their age, however her clothes were very fancy and clearly made of even better material as Sarah's. The ones behind her was 2 other girls and 2 boys.

All of them had fancy clothes so it was very clear they were all even richer nobles then Sarah.

The front girl had her long raven black hair down and she had cute blue eyes that sadly held a look in them that said, "I'm better then everyone."

Zion sighed internally and rolled his eyes as he stood up and faced them with the others.

The two groups face each other in silence for a few seconds before the girl gave a sickly sweet smile at Sarah and Zion, "Hi! I'm Calie Dream! I couldn't help but notice your amazing fox pet has the special spell of Mind Talk today. That's amazing!" She giggled happily as she stared at Zion with a burning gaze.

However, she didn't even give Sarah a chance to respond when she spoke again, "Due to how amazing this Fox is, I want to buy it from you. I'll give you 2 silvers for it."

She grinned while Sarah and Zion just looked at her in absolute bewilderment.

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't updated in so long, I'm dealing with some personal things right now but I'm going to try and get back to doing a minimum of one chapter a day.

Thanks for still sticking around even with my vanishing act lol.

I'm gonna try to do a bit of a mass release of chapters over the next couple days to make up for the missed 12 days. Hope you'll enjoy the chapters :).
