Chapter 25: The Unexpected person for Rescue

The man's voice is low and threatening. "Everything you have on you," he says, taking a step closer.

Lexzandra's gulps, her mind racing. Thieves, she thinks. "I don't have anything," she says,. "You're wasting your time."

The man doesn't believe her. He lunges forward, grabbing her arm roughly. "I don't think you're telling the truth," he growls, his grip tightening painfully.

Lexzandra's fear turns to anger. She yanks her arm free, her eyes blazing with defiance. "I said I have nothing!" she snaps. "Do you think I'd be wandering around here if I had something valuable?"

The man hesitates, but only for a moment. "Search her," he orders, and two more men step out from the shadows, advancing towards her.

Panic surges through Lexzandra. She backs up against the wall, her hands clenched into fists. One of the men grabs her cloak, ripping it off roughly.
