The savory aroma wafted through the apartment, tugging at my focus with an almost magnetic pull. Carmen stood at the kitchen counter, her sleeves rolled up, her hands deftly moving with practiced precision as she chopped vegetables.

A pile of vibrant, colorful produce sat next to her bright red bell peppers, deep green zucchini, and golden slices of squash. The sound of her knife hitting the cutting board was rhythmic and hypnotic. 

I was supposed to be working on my modeling project, but how could I concentrate when Carmen was practically putting on a culinary masterclass?

She wore an apron over her fitted shirt and slacks, which somehow made her look even more infuriatingly attractive. Her hair was tied up in a loose bun, a few strands framing her sharp, elegant features. 

"Stop staring," Carmen teased without looking up, her lips curling into a sly smile.
