After morning classes, it was time for lunch, and Chloe and I headed to the cafeteria. As we walked, the aroma of various foods wafted through the air, making my stomach rumble in anticipation.
"Let's see what they've got today," Chloe said, pushing open the double doors to the bustling cafeteria.
Inside, the cafeteria was a hive of activity. Students were lined up at various food stations, each offering different cuisines. We joined the line at the salad bar first, where I picked out a mix of fresh greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and olives, topped with a light vinaigrette. Chloe opted for a Caesar salad, loading up on croutons and Parmesan cheese.
Next, we moved to the hot food section. The options were plentiful: roasted chicken, grilled vegetables, pasta with marinara sauce, and a steaming tray of lasagna. I chose a portion of the lasagna, while Chloe grabbed some roasted chicken and a side of grilled asparagus.
