Rey's thoughts wandered as he saw Adonis storm out of the room.

Although he was just as shocked as the others, Rey smiled on the inside.

"Don't beat yourself up too much. It was inevitable."

It was impossible for all twenty-eight students to be equally useful to the cause.

Most would leave the Alliance sooner or later.

Rey thought he might be too pessimistic, but he knew his classmates well enough to realize they weren't the self-sacrificing type.

They were just teenagers who wanted to have fun, enjoy life, and live without worries.

The main reason they had lasted so long was the benefits of developing their powers and learning survival tactics.

Once they could no longer benefit from the Royal Estate, they had to leave.

"It's unfair, but that's just the way it is..."
